Hi bud, what cams did you use with this build. Absolutely love it
I'm currently trying to pick a cam for my application. I have an IAG 950 bottom end with ej255 heads.
They will be getting Decked slightly and ported. Turbo i have is a g30-600.
I'm stuck trying to pick between the kelford 264's and 272's.
It's used mainly for high performance street use and fortnightly track work.
Really appreciate and value your opinion
Too much power, I still believe 400 to 450 is sweet spot , 600 is too much

ОтветитьI have an 05 sti that's very similar in power, mines silver though. I felt the same way the first time I really put my foot in it after having a closed deck motor fully built on modest 20psi. Its built for 750 but youre right nobody really needs that but damn is it fun!
ОтветитьI'm not sure if you mentioned what kind block you used. Stock STI or IAG block whatever. I maybe missed it in your video. Closed captioning not very accurate on this video.

I have an issue with my blob 2004 sti... my odb2 port is getting power.. but my blue tooth scan tool is not picking up any Info from the ecu.. seems like their is a interference somewhere.. is there anything to look out for?? ОтветитьShoot I rev to 8000 in my sti every day I drive it which mostly consists of just driving to work. Also my build is very similar to yours so what would you say is safe psi wise on e85 only? Right now I’m only running 25 psi and it’s definitely not enough.. I have an air to water Intercooler that I’m going to be adding an interchiller to so intake temps will be very cold all the time but once I do I’m definitely looking to go up to 35 psi if not more..

ОтветитьIf you want the video to pick up the speed better, put a camera on your dash. The camera placement is a little high and it’s hard to tell how fast you’re going relative to things around you.

ОтветитьNice build! FWIW, im currently 807 whp, on 1700 cc's.Xona Rotor 82-67 turbo. So those injectors an push power. If you upgrade, skip the 2000, and go 2600, better quality injector.

ОтветитьI had the same issue with my pressure drop up top. I swapped my pressure switch and that cured it. It wasn't engaging and kicking the second pump on. Hope that helps

ОтветитьGreat video..I have a factory yellow bugeye I bought for my daughter for her 18 th birthday....still have it now and love it to bits all original apart from multiple sets of wheels and full whiteline suspension..standard sunroof..so keep it dont sell it..my grandson has now claimed mine and I m keeping it for him

ОтветитьSomething else is going on, ID 1700s can support north of 800bhp with proper fuel. Hell ID 1600s on E85 are 70% duty cycle. You'll figure it out, you always do.

2. I'm doing a BCPX500+ turbo build for my built block. and im running ID1700s to future-proof it.. Will an AEM340 be enough to supply those if I'm not pushing IDC's anywhere near its limits? was looking to stay around the 450whp/23PSI mark.
