ОтветитьGreat video helped me to understand more
ОтветитьDoing a mental health nursing placement atm and found this video. It has really helped me to gain a better understanding of the things i am seeing on the mental health ward. Fascinating and amazing how our brains work to help us. Thank you.
ОтветитьGreat synopsis. Very clear. Thank you.
ОтветитьThank you Derek, I have read and listened to many descriptions of IFS but this video made the concept the most clear to me, and gives me some hope to unburden these exiles I am carrying. I will now go to Exploring your Own System to find what I can do. Thanks again and keep putting information out there, you have a great manner about you.
ОтветитьInteresting!
Ответитьyes, this was helpful
ОтветитьThanks so much, wonderful introduction.
ОтветитьThis model is incredibly democratic. Complex concepts as ego defenses and overcompensating strategies become accessible with simple but powerful metaphors. Thank you!
ОтветитьFound this video really helpful. Thank you
ОтветитьVery Helpful!!!
ОтветитьI find your work especially interesting. I work with youth who have experienced extreme trauma in their lives at a state run PRTF in Connecticut. I don’t believe our therapists use this method but it really resounds with me. I’m a special Ed teacher so I’m limited in my interactions with the students as far as therapy goes. I do believe this system is in harmony with my Biblical framework. And I like that. I also appreciate that people can start loving themselves immediately upon realizing nothing about them is “bad”. This is very, very liberating, and if a person wants to improve their overall quality of life, I think they can help themselves do this.
ОтветитьThank you. I am new to IFS, having been brought to it by a psychologist after a mental health snap. I believe this may help me deal with my many Exiles.
ОтветитьExcellent! Thank you for the overview.
ОтветитьThank you for this and all your material I have been fortunate to view so far as I learn. From Tasmania, Australia.
Ответитьfabulous thorough explanation
ОтветитьVery helpful, thank you. I'm going to watch your "Exploring Your Own System" videos over the next few days.
ОтветитьThank you for this short and easy-to-understand intro to IFS that I can share with my friends and family.
Ответить10 years after this video was made and I found it incredibly helpful and informative. Thank you
ОтветитьThnakyou.
ОтветитьI soooo am helped by YOUR videos Derek Scott. For some reason your voice and presentation are a SAFE place for me. THANK YOU!!!
ОтветитьBest video in explaining IFS! Thank you
ОтветитьGreat video, so helpful! Thank you!
ОтветитьI am a psychotherapist and I have admired Derek's presentations for a long time now. He is very easy to watch and listen to and his videos can really help a lot of people understand themselves better. I often point my own clients to watch his videos because though I know Internal Family Systems very well, Derek just has a great way of presenting this important information. Between what I offer my clients and what Dered offers, I think we pretty much cover what my clients can use for their own lives especially regarding Internal Family Systems. . Thanks Derek for helping to make my task easier and more understood by my clients!!!
ОтветитьThank you!
ОтветитьA very clear explanation of the personality system.
ОтветитьI have watched several of your videos, and have found them all helpful in demonstrating the IFS model. Appreciate your clarity and playfulness and the added visuals. Only stumbled onto this one tonight via Spencer Thompson's website, after recently joining his weekly zoom group meeting.. 🙏🏼
ОтветитьThanks for all your incredible content!
Ответитьsimple, clear, easy to follow and illuminating. Thank you for so genreously sharing this publically to enable those who cannot afford therapists or trainings. It is a blessing
ОтветитьThis was one of the most succinctly presented representations of IFS that I have watched. Much appreciated.
ОтветитьThank you for the video - I’ve just discovered ifs and it appreciate its common sense approach
ОтветитьTHANK YOU SO VERY MUCH Derek. This was absolutely wonderful. I found ifs about a week ago, and have been consuming so many of Dr Richard Schwartz's videos etc ..all of which i love, and all of which have been highly beneficial. However, your video here is the most succinct overlay of ifs as a whole, which ive seen yet ..and I'm deeply grateful. Many thanks.
ОтветитьYour videos are golden. Thank you so much!
ОтветитьThank you for making this video and for making IFS so accessible.
ОтветитьFabulous overview!! Thank you.
ОтветитьThank you I appreciate you and all you share!
ОтветитьThank you
ОтветитьEven though I use attachment focussed EMDR therapy, this is a very helpful video. Would love to shar with my clients if that's okay?
ОтветитьThank you. This is indeed, helpful
ОтветитьThis video is very helpful! Thanks for explaining so clearly. Makes it easy to understand
ОтветитьThank you.
ОтветитьThank you so much for this video, im studying psychology and your videos are really helping me. You are such a Blessing..
ОтветитьThank you, very clear
ОтветитьReading the book by Dick Schwartz, No Bad Parts, which is a deeper companion to this wonderful little video, was a game changer for me. In short order I was able to use one of Schwartz's meditation to find an exiled part that was controlling acid reflux and GERD, and I was completely released from experiencing this chronic condition. Now, if I experience these symptoms in the least, I go to that part and ask her what's wrong? She usually says I'm not taking care of my physical needs, I'm thirsty or hot or forgot to eat lunch. In turn I ask her to turn off the boiling stomach, which she's glad to do now that I'm listening to her.
ОтветитьThank you
ОтветитьVery interesting and excited to learn more.
ОтветитьWow! This was extremely interesting and helpful 👏👏👏 the mind is a never ending paradox🧐
ОтветитьThank you. I recently have been extremely burdened, and needing to reach out for help, and I found your work. I worked with an IFS therapist for a few years about 5 yrs ago, but I haven't been able to afford regular therapy as of late. I so appreciate these videos that explain the IFS parts system, and the guided meditation for releasing shame. Thank you for your sharing with us and making it available.
ОтветитьThank you very much! I Am just enjoying it. ❤
