Filming with the Sony A6500 in 2023: A Comprehensive Review of Its Pros and Cons

I don't shoot much video, but I bought the A6500 in 2019 and got it for $1100 Canadian. I've dreamed of full frame, but it's just too expensive for an enthusiast. So I've decided that APS-C will be my format and started investing in better lenses. That being said, a good lens makes all the difference. I love the image quality I'm getting out of this 'older' camera with my kit of higher quality lenses. I'm really hoping Sony will come out with a professional APS-C hybrid camera. I'd buy it in a heartbeat. Thanks for the video!

Great video! I recently acquired an A6500 for $620 with under 2k shutter count. Although a lot of cons have my hurting because there are technically better cameras, I still feel like I got a bargain with essentially a brand new A6500. It's my first real entry into a proper camera coming from a Fuji FinePix S1800. Even with the 8BIT video and limitations of 120FPS in 1080p, your examples and experience have displayed great image and video quality and it helps bring up the confidence for my purchase. Do you only run Sony lenses or do you also dabble in Sigma/ Tamron as well?

Type in music videos filmed using the a6500 . If you watch the videos it’s more than capable of putting out high quality music videos. But if you are a tech nerd and base it off of everything on paper that has no use in the real world it’s not 😂😂😂 if it gets the job done it gets the job done .

Mate I need help, I recently got my a6500 I set it with RAW-SRGB-10bits (SRGB because Im not planning use the files to print and content creators says SRGB is better if files will use specifically to social media and share it in another screens) I set my camera to capture flat colors to be able to get a better editions on post production apps, but once I export photos to my macOS or windows Pc these systems apply a kind of bad color grading and reduce the quality (it seems like a bad photo captured in JPG) Im trying to figure out what Im doing wrong because when I see the photos in the camera screen photos looks flat colored and with really good quality that is what Im looking for but after export them all process get screw. Any help please? I'll appreciate it

I am constantly surprised that experts in their field put out videos of them reviewing a camera and yet the footage is out of focus, poorly lit and under-exposed...What is the point in investing in high-end gear if you are taking zero effort to demonstrate what this sort of gear is capable of...?

I haven't found enough reason to upgrade from my a6500. Got it cheap, used on ebay, with a couple lenses. The new AI on the 6700 would be nice but not necessary.
