You can actually return the book after chapter one if you don't like it. They refund pretty quick!!
ОтветитьHaven’t looked into it yet, but it seems there is a « Netflix of books » for Audible, and that’s Kindle Unlimited. From what I read, you can read and/or listen to all the ebooks/audiobooks you want without buying them not keeping them. Basically streaming for books…
ОтветитьThank you 😊
ОтветитьThank you for your info.. if you are reading I want to tell
You that there is hope in Jesus Christ and he wants to have a relationship with you. Only thought him you will able to endure what’s coming. John 3:16
We share free classic audiobooks on a weekly basis!
ОтветитьI like audible but I recently found out about hoopla and libby- these are free if your local library supports them.
ОтветитьKelly! Thank You for this honest review.
i was thinking about signing up because it was like Netflix.
Glad you saved me the trouble.
Audible is a scam indeed
Dankeschön 👍
ОтветитьFirst 10 secs is all I needed to know, thanks
Ответитьyou so beautiful and it's very helpful :)
ОтветитьAudible is so worth it for me. The app has been updated so you can now purchase directly on the app instead going through Amazon.
ОтветитьAll audio books are 1 credit? Pretty gross system, means a new book is worth the same value as an old audiobook? 1 credit? So in real world figures,
I see 2 audiobooks 50p vs £9.99, it's 1 credit?
👍😍🥰📕
ОтветитьI Love audible, the best book I've listened to this year is Crushing it by Gary V, I can't believe that was written 10 years ago
Ответитьyou helped a lot, thanks :)
ОтветитьWhat bout owning it and being able to loan it to a friend? Just curious….
ОтветитьI tried a few samplesnbefore but found that most of them were read in american accents, so as im british i just couldnt relax and get into it.even tho most of our tv has american accents and i dont notice that xx
ОтветитьThey need to give you more books. I’m using utube for free books
ОтветитьI didnt like the 4hr work week. I thought it was overrated.
ОтветитьCan the audio books be transferred to a speaker? Or like an MP3 player? My phone's battery runs out pretty quick. And so I keep music in an ipod. So my phone stays charged longer.
ОтветитьIs the Irish accent for me😂
Ответить2023 : You CAN return audible books you don’t like and you get your credit back.
ОтветитьYou are so sweet, I could listen to you for hours, my first time in your channel, I was just trying to find out if audible was worth because I'm want to "read" some books on the go, you know, for personal growth and knowledge and also make good use of time.
¿Did you ever consider to do a podcast or something like that? Your voice is really nice and comforting and also your vocalization and pronunciation is very clear even for me that English is not my language.
All good wishes for you!
Thank you for sharing, really helpful. All four of my books are available on audiobook via audible.
Ответитьlove u
ОтветитьIn fact most people get to give books back that they don’t like, as long as they don’t try it with every book! My wife has returned quite a few over a few years. I have heard that, on occasion, they’ll even take a book back after you’ve finished it, if you do it straight away, but if they don’t, don’t be surprised.
The criticism of Audible I’ve come across is about their deals with publishers/ authors, which is akin to the supermarket’s deals with farmers for milk. I think they give about 30% to the source of the books, and I’m not sure if the narrator’s cut comes out of that as well. Audible deals usually involve sole distribution rights, too. Must confess this makes me think about my subscription, as it’s mainly going into Jeff Bezos’s pockets.
A criticism I have personally, is the customer enquiries system. I’ve rung them with questions on various occasions to little effect. All they do is read through what I could read on their website, and they are very reluctant to pass enquiries on to anyone else, who might be able to look into things at more depth. The average bookshop assistant knows more, in my experience. You can suggest titles, if they don’t have them available, but I’ve never heard a single thing back from them after doing so. At one time they had very little SF available (in the UK anyway), and not too long after there was quite an improvement. Quite often older novels are not available. For instance I used to read a lot of David Storey’s novels, but, apart from This Sporting Life, they had none. I’ve not checked recently if that has improved.
So Audible are far from perfect, but they improve all the time, I’d say. Just don’t expect them to be perfect or to bend over backwards to help. They won’t.
Hi Kelly,
Nice video, thank you!
I have been using a vastly superior Swedish service (but yes, it has plenty of books in English!) for about 3 years. In fact there's a few... it's called Storytel, but there is also Nextory and Bookbeat. Storytel I believe is the cheapest. One monthly price, doesn't matter how many books you listen to. I'm currently editing a video about it because I wish people would stop using Audible.
Cool 😎
ОтветитьOne book a month doesn't seem like a deal. Even if they offer free books those may be books you have no interest in listening to.
ОтветитьThanks
Ответитьdo you get an mp3 that can be listened to on any mp3 player?
ОтветитьSo it is useless for me. Thank you for a review:)
ОтветитьWhat is the format of the audio books...MP3 ? Plus do you own the audio book, I like to listen in my car and want the ability to put the audio book on a cd or flash drive...is that possible?
ОтветитьBoo 👎🏻 I didn’t want to pay for books I wanted unlimited books with a subscription guess I have to pirate it
ОтветитьNice to know. Not like Netflix… I will never get audible then. 😂 not worth my money at all…
ОтветитьWooouh, it's a good video
ОтветитьSincerely,
Thank you for clarifying that as i also had the wrong idea of how this whole thing works.
If I only wanted a few specific books, is the membership worth it? I would, without a doubt, want to listen to the LoTR trilogy of books along with the Hobbit and Silmarillion, but $15.00 a month seems high for five books?
ОтветитьThank you for actually explaining this thing!
ОтветитьThe first sentence you Said, I was like, yeah I found that out the hard way. Everyone always talks about Audible and says it's so amazing, but no one ever clarified that you can only get 1, or maybe 2 books per month. I did not know this until I joined and had to find out for myself. Audible is basically acting like a middle man for buying the book because the cost of the membership per month is around the cost of 1 discounted book. I'm not mad because I'll at least finish one book before moving on to the next. But I just fear even after sampling, I might end up not liking the book
ОтветитьThis is a good insight as I was trying to get an understanding of what Audible is about. Want to try it out first for myself and see of it van be a means of making a little side hustle. .
ОтветитьBest description ever
ОтветитьThanks , I think I’ll skip it and use Spotify instead
ОтветитьWhy is the price £7.99 on Audible website, but £9.99 on my Amazon app?
ОтветитьYou are so hot
ОтветитьIn my opinion storytel is much better, yes their collection can be a bit lacking. Unfortunately there are some books I’ve wanted to read that they didn’t have, but this app is definitely the Netflix of audio books and they do have a big variety of books.
ОтветитьSo..a book is priced at 24 CAD at Chapters. Same Audible Audiobook is 46 CAD????
ОтветитьSounds like huge SCAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ОтветитьDo you use Audible?? If so... what are you reading at the minute?
Ответить
