Shouldn't hight pressure decrease the release of renin due to the fact that RAA system works in order to increase pressure thanks to the resorption of Sodium and water?

if there is irreversible loss of nephrons, the blood flow will shift to the active nephrons, which results to glomerular hyperfiltration since there is more blood flow. in the early stage, hyperfiltration is tolerated, but after awhile, it results to sclerosis, until the nephron will die and the cycle continues.
late stage: you lose so much of kidneys function, ur GFR decreases, urine output descreases and begin to retain wastes that result to UREMIA

when there is decrease in GFR, increase in sodium and water retention which leads to increase BP and peripheral edema

decrease in GFR, causes hyperkalemia, muscle weakness and cramps. loss of nephrons leads to decrease in renin production, decrease in aldosterone, which the disnal sodium potassium pump does not work
