The difference is clear! However, the AT 2020 held its own at its price. You'll need to do a lot of EQing on the AT 2020 but the TLM 103 sounds more musical. These little nuances make a huge difference to the overall output of your production.

The blueBird Blue Mic is equivalent to the Neumann TLM 103 for the fraction of the cost.

Sir, I'm a be honest. I forgot we were comparing mics when you started singing. Your voice is magical! 💖💖💖 but both mics did sound good. Couldn't tell the difference. Must be a longevity thing.

And afterwards you start EQ on vocals and it really doesn't matter! ;) If you cut subs and lift up the top end? So that is exactly the difference! Make good EQ on AT2020 and you save 900!

I have a TLM 103 but I used the AT2020 back in the day and it really is a great microphone to get started on.

AT2020 is a beast listen to Billie Eilish ocean eyes its not the mic its the mixing

I like AT2020 more because I don't have a big budget for TLM103 Hahaha

I've owned TLM 103 & AT4040. it's a noticeable difference. The TLM has more "Body" or "Warmth."

I tried TLM on voice and don’t get the hype. Preferred 100- 300 dollar mics🤷‍♂️. The Shure KSM8 is the exception, I’m a big fan of Shure mics. Want to try out the rest of the KSM8 series of mics🎤 .

I was listening with good headphones on and although there's a slight difference I wouldn't say it's worth 10 times more. The 20/20 is extremely good for the money.

For what I could hear, the At2020 is more clear and its more static while the Neumman is more smooth and adds a tiny bit more echo at the end which in my opinion makes it better for singing songs such as Billie Eilish but thats just my opinion as a singer and I def am new about this professional production thing

In all honesty, the good old 80/20 rule clearly applies here because I literally cannot tell the difference. It really sounds like the only difference is the tears of having to pay 10 times more for this.

Because he cannot sing beautifully, the sound seems pretty much the same.
His voice makes it equal. He has to use sm7b to cut all the high frequency voice.

Only a professional audio engineer will spot differences

I'm going for the AT2020 because of the budget. Sounds excellent for the price.

The expensive mic will help your deesser, in mixing. The cheap one is still great!

am i the only one who doesn't hear a difference. Try closing your eyes and picking out the expensive one, pretty hard to do. im using 400$ monitor headphones with 10-50000 frequency range
