Hi i am a registered nurse and have worn double wear for twenty five years and working in intensive care i don’t have time to touch up my makeup during my shift , so i learnt very early to use a good foundation since i use estee lauder skin care i just bought double wear and its perfection for my working day , my skin always looks flawless and even under a mask my foundation never moves its perfect ! i can firmly recommend this foundation its a lovely product .

I am also loyal to DW. As I have aged, I noticed that my sunscreen under the foundation helps make it more glowy, which is nice. A light hand and a damp sponge do make all the difference. Great video!

I've been using ELDW for a few years. Love it! But, your comment about not taking it up to the eye area if you tend to dryness/wrinkles there is spot on, as I'm needing to make that change. What do you suggest for under the eyes?
I have only ever done a very basic makeup look - but realise I might be needing to add in some concealers, lightener. I'd appreciate your ideas.

I mix one part foundation to two parts moisturisers on the palm of my hand and apply with my finger tips. It gives me an even cover and lasts as long as using the foundation on it's own, and not quite so heavy. The added bonus is that it makes the foundation last so much longer :)

I’m so late on this but can you tell me why my foundation looks seperated/patchy around my lower cheek area? Anytime I use it cosmetics your skin but better I notice it more! I have dry mature skin but I am so good w skincare and prep! I use very few of Laura Mercier loose translucent on my t-zone but I find it highlights a little bit the lines on the my bridge of the nose (I'm 42)..
What would you reccomend to have the foundation in place all day but not highlighting lines under eyes and on the bridge of the nose?

I wore this on my wedding day! It’s a must have in my arsenal of foundations. I don’t wear this everyday but I do wear this when I need budge-proof! I also apply the same way-damp sponge. As always, your makeup is gorgeous!❤

I absolutely love EL Double Wear, I used it for years! It lasted through classes and concerts and you can sweat all you want, it just won’t move. But gradually started to shift to more sheer coverage foundations as I wanted to have more natural glow skin. I also found that to remove it from your pores you need oily products. I have not used glowing primers or mixing it with other foundations. Great tip! Thank you.

Do we need concealer & loose powder together with this? Can we apply this to eyelids before eyeshadow?

I always use a damp sponge to apply it and it goes on so much better and it doesn't feel like you are wearing anything. Still covers as well and looks beautiful.

I love this makeup. I been wearing it for like 20 years. One of the best reasons because it stays in place all day. It doesn't rub off on clothes.

I am 70 yrs old and am constantly in search of that one perfect foundation, always hoping I can stop searching and buying so many. I used to use this Double Wear in my 50s and stopped for some reason. I am charged up to try it again. I once loved it and swore by it, so thanks for the ideas and great information. I have used this makeup for over 40 years. Two of the huge benefits for me is how long it lasts and still looks great and it does not transfer. I enjoy watching makeup vlogs and become interested in other foundations but the more I research the newest and latest, I confirm EL is the best for me. I do add a drop of facial oil to the foundation and moisturize before applying w a damp sponge.

Thanks for that. I use the beauty blender but I don't use it damp because I was scared it would contribute to me being oily.

I am a longtime user of Estee Lauder foundations and I purchased some pumps from Amazon that fits perfectly. I always used a sponge to apply my foundations until I started using brushes. I prefer working quickly in small areas with a very small amount and a dry sponge. I find the finish with a damp sponge on my own skin is too dewy. (I do at least three steps of skincare before applying and often skip primer.) I used to wear Dawn (2W1?) but then I started taking walks (with sunscreen I swear) and now I'm Buff 2N2. Been using DW for at least 9 years now.

This is my holy grail foundation. I live in hot, humid Florida aka the devil’s bum crack and I need something that will hold up to the weather. It covers and lasts all day without melting off. Great tip to use the damp sponge! Thanks for sharing. 😘🌺

I do apply my foundation with the sponge but I have not been shaking the bottle and I think I am using too much; upper lip especially looks cakey. I’ll see if there is an improvement. I’m a little nervous about adding a serum but might give it a try. Miss my Double Wear Light!! If there’s no improvement, I think I will try some of your foundation recommendations. Thanks!!
