President Trump will be in the next U.S. President and that will impact many things across the country to include federal government jobs. Over many years the republican party has embraced the idea of smaller government. Many people view Washington D.C. as a swamp and President Trump has vowed to drain that swamp. In this video, I talk about ways I believe President Trump could impact federal jobs.

The Military service members are also considered Federal Employees and most of the cuts came from reducing the military. The civilian employment in the Federal Government has grown a lot faster than the population. To further hide federal employment numbers the government has hired contractors to hide those numbers

Do not think that massive unemployment in DC will make Trump unpopular. It's going to be one long party out in the hinterland. Americans hate DC with a passion.

Approval from Congress would be necessary for this action; Trump would require unanimous support from the Republican members in the House, along with some backing from Democrats. Due to the small majority the Republicans have in the house! It will probably passed in the Senate!!!

Aint it funny how people are hoping and applauding for people to lose their jobs? If you are a federal employee and voted for Trump, I am wondering how you feeling now? But, when unemployment rises people will start having buyers remorse. Thinking that a bunch of billionaires have anyone's best interest at heart are a bunch of fools! As they say elections have consequences. The theme in all of this are people saying, its not going to be that bad! He and Elon are not going to do that. Did anyone see the border czar on tv today? Mass deportations! We don't care if you are a good one.

Elon's "DOGE" will turn out to be a big, fat nothingburger. They have absolutely no power or authority, and, judging by their oped in the Wall Street Journal, no knowledge of how US government works. That said, they might have Trump's ear until he gets tired of listening to them and closes that project out. That happened to many people in Trumps orbit during his first term. He told all the dingleberries and sycophants that helped him get elected to pound sand. That's what you get for doing business with a lifelong con man. Fun fact, the VAST majority of government spending is for Social Security and Medicare. All salaries and benefits paid to ALL federal employees account for a grand total of about 4% of federal spending. So you can fire them all, and you will have saved a whopping 4% of the budget. You'll destroy the county in the process, but that's all in a day's work for a tech bro.

This guy is a monster. Trump wants to get rid of people who are not for him, so those against Trump will lose their jobs, so MEG people will go in there; how is that even possible? You would think that would be against some right. People who voted for this man, seriously, what is wrong with you people. I am sure what Trump does will hurt you and your family since most people regret it. Trump will destroy this country. I would move to Canada if I had the money.

Probably some hot air. Any federal employee knows there is fat to trim. Federal spending is a problem with some easily identifiable solutions. First, make federal programs subject to external auditing. Some non profit private outfit and terminate any full time quality control employees from the government. Make hiring and firing easier. The onboarding process is a nightmare. We are lucky to get a position advertised, offered, and onboarded within a year. Lots of fat to trim there. I’ve had an employee who has worked 3 months in nearly two years and is still technically employed. When we bring up termination, the EO people treat us like monsters attacking a sick employee. Keep in mind, he has no leave and his doctors excuse ran out 9 months ago. Terminating a poor performing employee is nearly impossible while rewarding a good employee is nearly as impossible. Get this, my best employee went above and beyond and got recognized by our local community. I was told that if he got a spot award, a minority female on my staff should also get a spot award to help overcome my unconscious bias. That $h/t happened. Somewhere along the way, the job of the federal government became about validating and growing the government programs that we work within. We need to shift that focus towards treating it like a business. Assess each program from the viewpoint of is it efficiency and effectively delivering essential services to the community that cannot otherwise be delivered through the private sector. If the program is not essential cut it. If there is redundancy, remove it. If the program is not effective, why not? Remove all barriers to effectiveness. All barriers. Diversity quotas, gone. Environmental regulations, gone. Don’t guess at. All red tape removed. Time to hit the reset button on the red tape. Last thing. People that think federal employees are lazy are clueless. I work 65-80 hours per week. I manage around 75 people. Almost all of them are incredibly competent and hardworking. They deliver needed services to our agricultural communities. We are well liked and needed in the community. The biggest barrier I face is the ballooning red tape the stops us from doing our job.

I got allot of respect for you Armand, but you’re wrong on this one. With technology advances alone we probably could do with less federal employees. The government is very inefficient and expensive. Tech such as AI can get rid of many clerical tasks. For instance, if you ever called the VA you know that the customer service is not only lacking but the VA employees are oftentimes lack the skills and education to answers questions properly. Ai and more efficient processes have the ability to solve these issues.

The argument that there need be a correlative number of federal employees to the population is ridiculous. Such an argument presumes that since we have more people we need more employees in NASA, for example. Do we? Texas population grew therefore we need more National Park Rangers in Alaska or Death Valley in California. No. Just no.
The Federal Government is a bloated workforce that needs a diet to stop taking in unnecessary calories and a work out regimen to work off the fat. If it goes too far then adjust the diet.
As to a hiring process that takes up to 180 days … there’s a screaming testament to inefficiency if ever there was one.
