That turned out lovely. I think this is the first time I've seen this technique used with acrylics. I've used it a few times in watercolours and was very pleased with the results and potential; but I'm like an impatient child unable to wait for the paint to dry before peeling :D Thanks for this demo, Marie Louise.
ОтветитьHi Marie-Louise……love your style of painting❤ On this painting did you let the first layer dry before you put the blue paint and cling wrap down? Thanks so much for all your Videos……very helpful.
ОтветитьLovely 😍
ОтветитьI Love This. I can’t wait to try it. Thank you for sharing. New subscriber❤
Ответитьhello! I'm Ana from Costa Rica, and I really liked this tutorial, the asymmetric shapes that were formed in the middle of the textures were extremely interesting. I love the color palette. Thank you for showing your creativity and her art.
ОтветитьI love your work. You mentioned sealing your work after making the initial marks with charcoal. How do you do that? A fixative spray? Thanks.
ОтветитьTHANK FOR THE DETAILS THAT YOU DO WHILE WORKING. YOU ARE ONE OF THE FEW. THANK YOU FOR SHARING

ОтветитьGreat
ОтветитьI thought adding water to acrylics limits its ability to remain adhered to the surface?
ОтветитьThat turned out awesome !!
ОтветитьWas thinking about the drying stage in your video, which did take a while (4 hours is waaay too long for me!)
One way to avoid having to wait is to do several paintings at a time. Fair enough.
But what if it was possible to dry the painting from the back? For example, imagine a hair dryer underneath aimed at the reverse side of the canvas/paper/board. Not quite sure how to set it up but with a bit of planning I'm sure it could be possible. I hate waiting for the wet stages to dry so where there's a will, there's a way - and I will find it!
Any ideas folks?
I use this technique a lot now coz I love it sooo much! It can be subtle using soft, light shades or it can be high contrast using dark and light colours and tones. Areas can be softened or pushed back using opaques, white or gesso. You can also do multiple layers, allowing each layer to dry before applying next one. The unique patterns are really inspiring and get my creative juices flowing when I'm stuck for ideas. It's also very addictive, in a good way!
ОтветитьBeautimus!
