Bro keep making videos! I love your comparisons. Alan Wake 2? So many games are getting ray tracing now!
Ответитьare you using ultra performance for the path traced mode?
PT brings me down to 30-45fps in most places even with a 3080, kinda sad. looks great though
I have a 3070 and a 5800x and it is impossible to hit 60fps stable with those settings, I know that the uploader used a 3080, but still, why the hell do I get such lousy performance?
ОтветитьSome scenes look better with no ray tracing
ОтветитьDo I need to have all the other ray tracing settings on for overdrive to take full effect? Or the overdrive is enough on it own and can provide reflections shadows etc?
ОтветитьI miss you
ОтветитьPath tracing is what RTX technology initially should have been. Everybody was rushing to deliver ray tracing to gaming before hardware was able to handle it, so the first implementation turned out to be a half-arsed parody.
Ответитьyour channel has a good future. ray tracing is still too early for current GPUs even for the 4090. and especially 30 series and older cards.
Ответитьthis was a fantastic comparison video
ОтветитьI need one thats from raytracing completely off straight to overdrive
ОтветитьGreat comparison. I actully had to turn off OD after awhile on my 4090 1440. It makes all the neon stuff too bright, and gets tiresome after awhile.
ОтветитьAs much as i enjoy looking at shiny puddles and reflective cum stains, it's just not worth the frame rate. For me it turns an enjoyable 100fps first person shooter into a 15 frame Christopher Nolan movie.
ОтветитьNever has ray traced trash looked so good.
ОтветитьHey have you ever considered making a discord? I know theres already others like that out there but a discord around graphically good games / raytracing / how to achieve good graphics seems like it'd be cool!
ОтветитьOverdrive RT ZZZZZZZZZZ
Ответитьbro, where are the new videos?
ОтветитьI was convinced just 30 seconds into the video
Ответитьagain the 1440p.... i feel good to play 4k Ray tracing on.
Im not even a utuber making videos for quality. sad.
Overdrive RT would look excellent , even in Mini LED panels.
ОтветитьPath Tracing is hard to run lol, 25-35 FPS on my 12gb 3060
Ответитьit's surprising how much Overdrive mode improves on the already ray traced Psycho settings.
ОтветитьDude, your videos still are about the best comparison videos for RT out there. Your work is excellent!
THe only downside I see to ray tracing, and path tracing, is that somehow the picture seems a bit blurry. But that's normal, as light tend to be more realistic, and thus object's edges are a bit less bruntly defined.
I would like to see a version with only RT Off, and RT Overdrive. No "old" RT at all.
ОтветитьAwesome chanel.
+1
I can't get over how insane overdrive setting looks. Destroys pretty much any PC except 4090 and 4080 with frame generation.
ОтветитьFantastic comparisons here. Simple and to the point. Path Tracing is really transformative in some scenes, even when compared to Psycho RT. Crazy stuff! Hopefully this will be the norm in another 5-10 years!
Ответить3080ti wants to kill itself without dlss 20fps max in some places. With it a laggy 45. 40 series upgrade or wait for 50 hmmm
ОтветитьI honestly can't play without now. It makes such a huge difference, and it's amazing. CDPR really outdid themselves here
ОтветитьIt's not exactly an "upgrade" if you need a NASA pc to run it at 40 average FPS.
I miss the days where games were optimized and beautiful for its time.
Throwing my PS5 in a garbage compressor as we speak
ОтветитьCool man! As an artist I think the intracacies of shadows and reflections are really beautiful. I hope enough new games come out and the tech keeps developing fast enough for your channel to blow up
ОтветитьSome times the difference is subtle, other times it is night and day. However, the overdrive mode brings a kind of visual consistency which is transformative and really increases immersion and believability of the world.
ОтветитьIt is REALLY revolution. Amazing. Shadows and refractions are very realistic
ОтветитьOverdrive looks very natural and realistic, but only in a camera sort of way, with stark contrasts. I mean even if you correctly trace the path of light, albeit backwards, you still have to decide in the algorithm the reflectivity of surfaces as well as maximum bounces - both will impact the contrast of the scene. We're still living in an SDR era that's trying to look like HDR. Our own eyes would adjust much better to different brightness levels than cameras, anyway. Whenever I have capable hardware and Cyberpunk 2077, I will try to turn down the bloom and reduce the dark corners somewhat to further enhance faithfulness to reality.
ОтветитьI was waiting for your video on this, and I knew you wouldn't disappoint. Very nice compilation.
I'm surprised how much better Overdrive looks even compared to Psycho because I never realized how flawed the basic ray tracing implementation was compared to full path tracing - but man, does it look good. CP2077 is not a great game, but a great tech demo for graphics, lol.
The game is still a let down
Ответитьyess I was waiting for this! Upload more of this please! especially indirect lighting in daylight
Ответитьeven after that people keep saying ray/path tracing are gimmicks... wtf
Ответитьfinally we have new Crysis😊😊😊
But can it run RT Overdrive without upscale?😮
Surprisingly for me, the game looks much more realistic.
Nice soundtrack you used
ОтветитьInsane people will still say they can't see the difference lmao
ОтветитьSide by sides would have been nice.
ОтветитьEven though it looks amazing with path tracing and I'm very glad that a complex geometry game like CP2077 has received a feature like this (unlike Q2 RTX / MC RTX path traced which lacks complex geometry... although still looks incredible), I still think that devs had done a great job with faking GI in some scenes so that the difference between no raytracing and overdrive isn't that much in some environments. But one can clearly see that it really depends on the situation. That shopping cart loaded with trash looks just phenomenal in overdrive.
Thanks for the comparison.
Ngl I'm impressed.
ОтветитьAmaxing
