KNUCKLES THE LEGEND

Suzuki since he’s come into the league has pretty much carried this franchise on his back (other than Carey prices Stanley cup run).
1st season: Top 5 in points (41) - 1st on team in points in playoffs,

2nd season: Top 2 in points (41) 1st on team in playoffs,

3rd season: #1 in points (61),
4th: #1 (66),
5th #1 (77).

We are 13 games into the season, he has 13 points. Probably the best rate he’s produced at since to start a season since he started the season with Dach and Caufield 2 years ago. But points, of course, don’t show how well you’re actually playing on the ice. There is no denying that he doesn’t look himself. We’ve grown to expect him to always be competing hard like he always has since he’s gotten into the league. Since we’re used to seeing that, him playing the way he is, sticks out like a sore thumb. We’re 13 games in, let’s be patient with the guy. He’s our best player so I expect him to be our best every night. But generally I’ll give him a pass right now. I think he’ll find it. If he was playing the way he always did, I think he’d be producing far better and his underlying stats would be great as well

(I haven’t watched the full pod yet so I’m not sure to what extent they’re bashing this dude)

What is Marty doing playing Arber xhekaj 11m that’s crazy? What’s the point in playing him, he’s ruining the flow of his defence. Besides that there is no need to be playing him such a little amount he’s been playing fine. How do you want him to get better or show you what he can do playing what marty has been playing him the past while. Absolutely insane terrible coach only focused on skilled guys.

Coaching both head coach and assistants need to go. How do you coach a professional team in any sport with a bunch of amateurs, and thats what this team is trying to do.

LIKE WHY DO WE HAVE LANE HUSTON OUT THERE WITH 2 MINUTES LEFT AND THE GOLAIE PULLED!! It makes no sense man Marty is obsessed with these small guys they can do whatever they want.

I wanted to see knuckles and tony on the Podcast together, I'm not one to blame goaltending, I feel its a team sport, but their goaltending is atrocious, there's a reason they lost so much close 1 goal games and shootouts, they needed to pick up Yaroslav Askarov whose been great in SJ

Hutson should have a point per game, but no one can finish. Their d zone passing is brutal to watch.

TB Col won with Skill. Caufield is a sniper every team needs that in the playoffs. Heck, Habs almost won 4 years ago they beat a bigger Jet, and Vegas teams.

Tony, when you double shift your best players guess what, your fourth line players get about 7-9 minutes each for the game. You can't have it all.

4 yrs ago, you wouldn’t have thought anybody would win a cup with Sam Reinhardt as your number one, or jack echiel either.

Habs make a ton of mental errors. Bad passes. Missed pass receptions. Just fumbling with the puck. Not sure if it's a focus or concentration thing or what. Something is off

I don't understand why Tony is kind of blaming Montembeault since he stole a point away from Calgary. He was the best Montreal player on the ice last night ???

Agreed with Chris regarding the need for more grit players up front.

MSL seems to limit the ice time of grit players with skill such as Pezzetta & Xhekaj or is it just me?

For this reason, perhaps there would be no advantage if we were to acquire more grit players because their ice time would be so limited?

lost all respect for Suzuki when he turned down an invitation to play for Canada at the Worlds, I guess 3 consecutive 5 months off isn't enough for him, as for his game thus far, it's average my major complaint about him is he plays with no edge and definitely not a Leader, Captainship should have gone to Gallagher until someone steps into a Leadership role.

Hi Tony. Absolutely love the podcast. I have a question, with all the young talent we have on D, should we question Stephane Robidas as our D coach as they seem to have regressed in their development. Big Bird would be perfect for this young group I believe

The average NHL career is 5 years. Arber is in year 3. If we think he's about average, then his career is basically half over and he's on his way out. So far, he's been below average, not super optimistic about his future.
