David Walliams on Little Britain, Gender & Satire

This was a pretty good interview. It's unfortunate that David clearly didn't want to be there.

Maybe if we went back to using the terms transexuals (who took oestrogen and had their bits removed) and transvestites who wear women’s clothes for pleasure and don’t have their bits removed or take testosterone suppressants we could go back to the 70s - 90’s when women like me didn’t mind sharing our private spaces with feminine gay boys who became transexuals. I thought Eddies comedy was awesome too, but he’s a transvestite who insists on using women’s private spaces despite so many women saying he’s not welcome.

I think David’s funniest character is the slowly spoken, carefully considered, podcast interviewee.

Josh is trying soooooo desperately hard to be clever and witty and David just doesn't buy into it. Love it.

You did it, Szeps! I switched from audio to the video. The silence at 17-ish minutes did it. I wanted to see what went on in that moment. Awesome how he told you he wasn't going along and then, when you pushed, he just didn't go along with it.

And then you both just moved on. That was equally awesome. Sometimes something doesn't work and you just reset and move on. Great to see that play out appropriately in a real situation. There are lessons there!

I loved Little Britain. I loved Miss Botswana who looked hideous and nothing like how we look but it was hilarious

Walliams is such a hypocrite. Clearly the "I'm a lady" character is mocking transvesticism, and he now pretends it was "celebrating" it. What a liar.
