HOW TO GET IN AND OUT OF THE SINKHOLE | The Forest

I agree, forced darkness in games is kind of lame. I get that the devs want a specific playstyle and feel for their game but it screws over a large portion of the player base that don't have the exact monitor specs as the devs.

I was stuck running around the sinkhole caves for about 30 mins after getting the bow, this video probably saved my in game life.

What the actual fuck ? My game won't let me go back through the way I came in, I press the button and nothing happens.

I’ve fallen down here multiple times the very recent time I’ve been able to actually make my way out😂

I got lucky and had a glitch where no cave mutants spawned not even the armsy and virgina there was only one armsy that was there

Thanks for this, I was playing multiplayer and I was holding a certain thing in my hands (that we somehow duplicated) while we did the ending, which ended up locking me in place midair above the trigger for the ending so I had to relog and I ended up back in the sinkhole at a tent that we used to save.

I'm not sure what else is in the sinkhole. I guess I thought it had a hidden room to do something or get something that lets us go to the next area.

So while using this video as a guide, and also exploring some parts of my own, I kept playing and watching the video, back and forth. Finally, I reached the bottom and it's a big circular area, didn't know where else to go.

I watch the video getting closer to the end, and then I see Farket going back up to the exit of the cave.

I guess that was the extent of this sinkhole that I had never explored , and it seemed like this big place that had many secrets, and was wondering what all is down here.

Omg ttys farttek (aka: Wet farty) you honestly helped me and my brother who has down syndrome get out of the cave.
He was really upset he started beating my crotch till it was blue with his controller.
My dad had to lock him in the cage for 3 hours till he calmed down (we let him watch your videos in the cage).

I just went through this guide to find the lab and I'm back in the wilderness. Smh

Dude I got out just by jumping and climbing I went to the climbing axe cave

That way is boring, I use a turtle shell, I was just now at the sinkhole. Now I'm at the bottom of the sinkhole thanks to a turtle shell

i went through chainsaw cave and went to that little bit that shows sinkhole and i just walked along the wall to get in but i didnt know how to get out so this helped alot

I used the turtle shell to get down cause I heard the machine was down there I got it and I didn't know how to get backup

When I was following your tutorial I fell into the hole after the first two baricades the mutants chased after me even the arm guy and I survived the fall I fell into the water I spammed every button

i know this video is 5 years old but wanted to comment as someone whos finally getting back into this game that 1- this was so very helpful as someone who gets lost in the caves constantly and ended up playing this as a home builder survival horror game 😅 2- if you can keep the red paint on, the non-mutated cannibals will (for the most part) leave you alone! didnt put two and two together for the longest time cause i never was around them when id have the paint and never remembered the start of the game 😂

I'm watching cause I took a cave. And got lost found the bottom of sink hole and can't find way back up through caves. Don't wanna beat it yet.

Due to the difficulty and unpredictability using the turtle shell and climbing axe, I decided to make a walk through to the sinkhole. After doing it, I realized that you can go through the cave and reach the bottom or top in just over 5 minutes. Though I will admit, it isn't as fun as using the turtle shell or climbing axe haha.
