At age 54, l did my last Monkey Flip… I broke my Greater Tubercle (located at the top of the Humerus Bone) not only did I crack my Greater Tubercle in HALF… I tore my Rotator Cuff and dislocated my shoulder! I had two shoulder surgeries, pins implanted and tons of physical therapy etc. etc. etc. Fast forward 9 years now, I need total shoulder replacement surgery! Btw, I was never a Break Dancer, merely a crazy Grandma trying to entertaining the grandkids!🤦🏻♀️
ОтветитьYet they make it look effortless 😮
ОтветитьShuffle slap up...shuffle changing pick up...right?
ОтветитьMost of these so-called dances are not dances it just gymnastics. It's insulting to real dancers.
ОтветитьDrinking a cup of coffee and eating a morning donut thinking, I need to get into shape -- I am so old....
ОтветитьOnly ballet combines difficulty with elegance and sheer beauty.
ОтветитьGrand difficile?
ОтветитьI was a breakdancer young and learned so much about balance, rhythm and flexibility that I was able to pull off multiple fouettes on the same day I first saw the move. Breakdancing looks a little raggedy compared to the majestic elegance of ballet, but it surely teaches you how to hold a line and draw up into a usable physical structure.
ОтветитьYeah, I don't think anybody in the world thinks tapping is easy - who hasn't already mastered it.
ОтветитьFascinating! Delightful. We saw Nureyev do a cabriole in San Francisco. He entered from stage left and it seemed as though he remained in the air. We had not attended a ballet before then. We were IMPRESSED. It was a piece of history.
ОтветитьStep ball change
ОтветитьThese all pale in comparison to any of the olympic dressage. Which is baically dancing with a horse.
ОтветитьAm I the only one who freaks out when a head spin is being performed??
ОтветитьThe person who compiled this list seems to have never seen Hopak and it’s wild movements
ОтветитьAs a ballet jazz tap lyrical and hip hop dancer I arabesque and and grande jeté are fairly easy actually a grade jeté is actually my fav jump lol❤
ОтветитьI can do all those moves perfectly in my dreams. LOL
All of the people are incredibly talented, and must have grit to get to the performance level they are at. I love to watch them, it just amazes me.
I do wish I could do this, but that is never going to happen because I just don't have that kind of grit, except in my dreams. LOL
The mix of breakdancing and ballet here is amazing. Such a fun list of challenging moves.
ОтветитьWould have had been worthwhile to review Streetdance 2 😉
ОтветитьThere should be a top 10 most difficult pas de deux pr partner moves
ОтветитьWhere was double tour en l'aire?
Ответитьyou dont say grand difficile. you say très difficile wich mean very hard. Grand difficile mean big hard. I know so cause I speak french
ОтветитьI was surprised that you had a video about hard dance moves but, never featured a black person...even in the break-dancing. How'd you achieve that?
ОтветитьAs a dancer monkey flip is actually pretty easy I saw it in a video and just threw it. It definitely helps to know how to do a Valdez before you do it tho and so are all of the tap things for a dancer they are gonna be pretty easy
ОтветитьYou forgot about belly and Tahiti dance.
ОтветитьStanding Double Backflip should be on this list. There are many athletic power jumps way harder than everything on this list that only a few people can do in the world.
ОтветитьThe Roger Rabbit is like rocket science to me.
ОтветитьNo ballroom death drop?
Ответитьso lame to compare Ballet to that....While it takes considerable strength to do the two are polar opposites and should not be compared.
ОтветитьI love dance! Miss ballet 🥺
Ответитьwhy did she say 'en pointe' like that lmao
ОтветитьBallet:
Firebird leap.
Fun fact, those videos alleging a grande jete? More than half of them actually show a saut de chat. They’re very similar moves, but the saut de chat is FAR easier. The distinction lies in whether the dancer drives their front leg upward with the knee locked from the beginning or if the leg flicks up from bent. It’s a lot harder to get height with a fully straight leg.
ОтветитьSo one Jazz and a split of Ballet and Break dancing was all you could muster? So many dance moves and this was all you could lazily put together?
ОтветитьIn terms of ballet this is so inaccurate, there is much much more difficult things than this
ОтветитьThat “strait leg scorpion “ is a needle
ОтветитьThe name is SO DE CHAT.......is not grand jete
ОтветитьI’m sorry if it may sound rude but I find it absolutely ridiculous that they put the grand jeté in third place because it is so easy and simple that I’ve learned it at 8 years old. If you really think a head spin is easier than a grand jeté then something must be seriously wrong here 😂
ОтветитьMonkeyflip should not be on this list. A vast number of people can do it. Dancers or not.
ОтветитьThe tap moves are not hard for me
because I’ve been training since I was two
The only reason I know how to do a few of these is because I started young. After years and years of training they become muscle memory, so long as you keep up the body strength to do it. I have a huge respect for dancers of all genres, especially late starters. They spend hours and hours practicing to get a single move down. Incredible dedication.
ОтветитьGene and Donald were the best! Singin' in the Rain for the win. 😍🥰🥰🥰
ОтветитьAs a dancer half of theses moves arent that hard
ОтветитьThey chose the wrong Ballet steps to showcase (besides the Cabriole). Gargouillade, Revoltade, Grande jete en tournant and Tours should be up there.
ОтветитьIt's called the "Thomas Flair" named after the late male gymnast Kirk Thomas.
ОтветитьThe squat dance seen in traditional Russian dance always mesmerized me as a kid and still entertains today. If you're looking for a marriage of classic ballet and modern street dance have a look at White Nights featuring Mikhail Baryshnikov and Gregory Hines.
ОтветитьWow try doing that. This is an amazing look at what ballerinas do
Ответитьwhoever made this list, is not a dancer lol, Most 3 year olds can do the paddle and roll, which I dont even think its called that lol
Ответить
