That was a genuinely great video. Instant subscribe!
Ответитьveridis quo is not only a play on "very disco" it's also a play on "discovery" because "very disco" and "discovery" are anagrams.
ОтветитьNice work with this video. And very interesting. I've dabbled with taking samples and making dance tracks in the past. What really stood out, is with what they sampled that they would take such small parts to then rearrange. Certainly inspiring or gives ya something to consider when producing dance music.
ОтветитьAlthough i still think gaining inspiration from other’s compositions is fine and a great way to learn, taking other’s recordings and making that a KEY element in a “new” work WITHOUT permission is lazy and wrong. Build your own sound. Do the work.
ОтветитьThis was amazing work my man. Can you please o prodigy vol 1 album. I always wondered how they would of done that album. So many samples!!
ОтветитьDon't forget The Anime Interstella 5555.
ОтветитьAwesome video! I've loved Daft Punk since I heard them on Toonami back in the day. You should check out the movie Interstellar 5555: The 5tory of 5ecret 5tar 5ystem. If you haven't already watched it. Its the movie based around the album.
ОтветитьSuch a great video!!! Thanks for showing this to the daft punk community and to the ones who don’t know how great daft punk’s music is
ОтветитьI would've never caught that it's ''Christopher Robin'', I always thought it was supposed to be ''Mr. Irvine''
ОтветитьI HAD NO IDEA IT WAS "CHRISTOPHER ROBIN". Wow!
ОтветитьOh man... Crescendolls is my favourite song and you just brushed over it :(((
ОтветитьFace To Face sampling was actually done by Todd Edwards. That’s his technique through and through, he didn’t just write and sing the vocals. Check out Todd’s extensive catalogue and you will be in sampling heaven.
ОтветитьI'd appreciate more music as you present it rather than talk
Ответитьi was in Wee Waa when they did their first concert after an 8 year break, was such a cool time. legit my first concert ever
ОтветитьWow. Discovery was and still is a favourite of mine. This has blown my tiny pea brain! cool Thanks =)
ОтветитьThis is an absolutely INCREDIBLE breakdown of this shit. BRAVO, sir. I’m speechless. That 10 CC’s finding, outstanding.
ОтветитьGreat video
ОтветитьMan, that was fantastic.
ОтветитьIt's saying "Face to Face" Christopher Robin? I've always heard it as "It's the good life"
Ответитьincredible !
ОтветитьI thought short circuit had a bit of "the ballad of Dorothy Parker" from prince
Ответитьwow, i know nothing about music production and was always confused by sampling and I understood it in 5 seconds with your visual representation. Super clear, thank you!
ОтветитьOn face to face I always heard "it's the third law" as in third law of robotics
Ответитьwow
ОтветитьMacquillage
Mah-key-arge
A disco variety of samples makes good use for a very disco album
ОтветитьThis is truly amazing
ОтветитьIts crazy to me that daft punk transformed the words "Christopher Robin" to "face to face now"
Its absolutely beautiful!
Does anyone on here know what happened to the documentary film Electro Wars???
ОтветитьThis album is much better when you understand the sample breakdowns of all the songs and then watch Daft Punk's movie
ОтветитьI not only liked this video, I loved it and I love it. Great work! It made me listen to the album again and again and hear it in a different light. Much love!
ОтветитьCrap... I love these "behind the making ofs"... but... fuuudge... "Christopher Robin" has now ruined the past 22 years
ОтветитьThanks soooo much for this video. I'm so excited!!
Ответить"Homework" is also a really cool album because of the analogue history. It is completely insane. They used Roland TR-909, 707, TB-303, and many more. And that's just synthesisers. The samplers are almost crazier: E-mu SP-1200, Roland S-760 and the AKAI S01. And people ask themselves how they get that analogue, warm sound😆😆 But yeah, 'Discovery' is a masterpiece, both in production and in what it symbolises
ОтветитьWhat an amazing breakdown. Liked and subbed. :)
ОтветитьAnd this video is a masterclass in how to make great content.
Ответитьexcellent sampling techniques, if we were in 1990! this is the dumbest techniques ive ever seen talked up so much. this is basic stuff producers used when the s900 existed!
ОтветитьThat's the French touch, simply said.
This is also why this country produce the one and only Champagne... French touch always.
If you can pick a song from Human After All and go in that be awesome. I learned so much!
Ответитьabout something about us, listen to 'Plastic Love" by Maria Takeushi
ОтветитьThank you for the music knowledge boss, amazing for a newbee in DJing
ОтветитьShout out Leiji Matsumoto!
ОтветитьThe sampling masters are The Avalanches.
ОтветитьOmg they really are musical geniuses!
ОтветитьThose dudes are definitely robots, how they are able to pull little things from songs to make new things.
ОтветитьLiked your video! It's was nice how you could synthetize all that they did. Great stuff!
ОтветитьWhat books you recommend about music in general
? I just order 'Music Is History' by Questlove. Thank you for all this great videos.
If you haven't already you should do Pump up the volume my M.A.R.R.S
