Great video, awesome project. Can't wait for the next idea you have to show us all.
ОтветитьVery awesome build. Would have looked cool to put like a pulsing blue light on the end of the Jawa's tool near the unattached leg to make it look like it was welding it
ОтветитьYou didn't ruin this toy, you elevated it! Love the Jawa workshop concept. It's like a glimpse into the heart of their sand crawlers.
ОтветитьAwesome modification to the platset. I still have the one I had as a kid, and it's all complete. It doesn't bother be to see someone get creative with an old toy that was missing everything and not taken care of. The robot looks pretty cool as well. Nice job.
ОтветитьTotally diggin it! 🤙🏼
ОтветитьRuin?! It looks epic!
ОтветитьLooks really cool. Are you going to incorporate this into your star wars pit diorama
ОтветитьLove this. Finding new life in old toys is always enjoyable.
ОтветитьFirst thing that popped into my head when you said Jawas and building a robot was an LED flickering rapidly and randomly as though one of the workers was welding for a repair. Would probably work well on the detached leg. Just a thought. Looks cool! 👍🏼
ОтветитьNah, dude. Vintage or not, I am all for the toy mod. Love these kind of builds. The thing looks great, love how it turned out.
ОтветитьEven if that were a mint condition sealed package set you used, it's still far better than just keeping it original. Toy collectors can get over it 😂😂. Love the diorama builds!
ОтветитьAlways love a good toy mod! Looks great!
And don't worry, the kind of collectors that would claim you ruined this junk toy by painting and modifiying it.
The kind of collectors that would claim that, are the same kind of collectors that would claim, that slight change in the plastic color constituted as a varient version of the toy.
Ignore those guys, most of them are just the two guys anyways with a dozen sock puppet accounts.
You made such an awesome diorama! I can't wait to see all of our models together 😎👍
ОтветитьWell done, my friend! But your beauty shot is way too dark...
A second light source would have been nice.
Greetings from Germany.
This is amazing build. You didn't destroy the toy, you improved it. 👍😎
ОтветитьI have to admit, I'm glad you didn't use an actual Droid Builder base. I had that too, and it was one of my most loved sets as droids have been one of my main SW loves from the beginning. For a very long time, that was the only way to get an R2 with the center leg extended.
I always enjoy your model scale projects. You have a great eye for the scale, not everyone can do both small scale and full size props with weathering that makes sense.
It came out great!
ОтветитьI really wish they would reissue the original droid factory set.
I had one, and for some reason I got rid of it even though I have all my other vintage SW toys.
So cool!❤❤❤
ОтветитьI always hated the Droid build play set. until I seen what you did with it. wow! Great job, it looks fantastic. You nailed it with the Droid - loved the 3D Print Jawas too. Can't wait to see your next project build.
ОтветитьGreat stuff! Love the storytelling in the build and those final shots! 😮💨👌🏼
ОтветитьGood eye for the details ‼️
ОтветитьAwesome looks like it would fit into Andor or Mando with out missing a beat I would have had a Jawa swinging on the cable and even a kyte egg somewhere for there lunch 😂 you brought our toy back to life👍🏼
ОтветитьThe jawa pulling the cable to guide the torso is a great idea, it gives the vibe of a makeshift workshop, equipped just with what they manage to scavenge.
ОтветитьNice build. You can’t ruin a toy you purchased for $12 and had to basically rebuild from almost the ground up. A mint in box is a different beast.
ОтветитьLooks awesome. Would be cool with some leds and led filaments. Love the weathering.
ОтветитьAwesome
ОтветитьToys are meant to be played with.
ОтветитьLooks great. Nice bit of kit bashin'
ОтветитьGreat work, for some reason this 1m challenge is bring creators I've not seen in months back to my suggestions... I'm glad to be back in the Smugglers Room.
ОтветитьMan, this turned out so good!!!
ОтветитьThis is a real Motivator of a video I love that you salvaged a vintage play set for this project !!!
ОтветитьHow awesome, such a great work 👍👍
ОтветитьFantastic work. Not all vintage toy collectors live by the “rule book”. Your toys, do what you want with them. This looks epic.
ОтветитьBrilliant well done 👏
ОтветитьSaludos desde España Canarias
ОтветитьCool deal, thanks for sharing.
ОтветитьWatched several of these [I follow more than a few folks] and, so far, yours is the best. Noice.
ОтветитьI had that droid factory too! Mine is long gone, but it was one of the strangest toys I'd seen. Not directly from any movie, but it still fit in. It was a wild set.
ОтветитьWonderful project, the final result is awesome 👋👋
ОтветитьYours came out great! So fun to know our work will be side by side at Designer Con!
ОтветитьLooks great! Such a fun improvement on the original. It looks like this could fit into the Pit somewhere if you ever get it back after the show.
ОтветитьAbsolutely love your version of the 1M Robot challenge!!!! Definitely awesome!!!! ❤😊❤
ОтветитьOh man, I forgot all about the Droid Factory! Fantastic build! I love the color choices!
ОтветитьAwesome build as usual.
ОтветитьThe Jawa Droid Factory was released in 79, and they have the 3rd leg for a R2 or R5 action figure, I love it building droids for the Creature Cantina, and later with Jabba the Hutt playset , your playset was amazing 👏
ОтветитьLooks awesome!
ОтветитьExcellent! I saw this on DR. Toys and followed his link to your channel. The whole diorama looks great and the Jawas were a terrific idea. Thanks for sharing your build.
ОтветитьNice work!
