Thing I don't like about selling puts is because you need a large amount of capital to make a decent amount of money. For example, if you wanted to make 24-30k a week selling puts against google, you'd need like 1.5-1.7 million dollars.

a friend of mine asked me for my opinion on your service. sorry, but I'm not familiar with your program, but your main, basic concept is correct. directional options traders are net losers over time. selling options is the only strategy that allows traders to make money if the underlying stays flat, or even goes slightly against you, at or before expiration. good job.

Hi David, I do a lot of spreads, but only like one per position. How many contracts do you sell in one trade considering you make a lot of money with it? I find myself being stuck having to trade 30+ underlyings to keep my position size small in case something moves against me. Please help, love your stuff, thanks

I know you have had a whirlwind life. I envy that you have experienced the life of the wild and wealthy. Not that I want that, but it would be something to experience.
Having said that, your personality is somehow down to earth. I have been following you for just a month, (seems longer) and every time I watch you, you calm me down. I have only taken your trial due to having 14 years of experience and understanding what you are doing. I don't know if I will follow your trades, because right now I get so much out of watching your sincere, humble and on point videos. I think I am making money now for the first time because of you. I am confident and focused like never before. You need alot of money to sell option , I don't think is possible, you will quick run of buying power if you want to adjust a position and finish with a fat loss .

Selling Naked CALLS will eventually crush you.... UNLESS you have a GTC STOP order.......................so if the underlying stock/ETF largely gaps up ITM in the middle of the night........you're screwed. Using support and resistance is a good system, but it's not foolproof. On the other hand, Selling Cash Secured PUTS is safer in a sense, because at least you own the underlying share if it gets assigned, and you better make sure you want to own that stock...........which isn't a bad thing if you really want to own it anyways at the strike price you obligated yourself to buy it at (with your PUT).

I'm not saying you are wrong but I'm unsure of this. What do you do when there is a big swing against your naked position and you dont have the funds for assignment?

David - excellent tips there. I've been selling options and calls for almost a year now, with returns reaching 20%. I tried Bull Put Spreads a few times and felt like I was giving up too much. But, in the video above, your explanation of how they could lead traders to place too many trades is terribly sensible! I also liked your thoughts on closing the winning trades early. I don't at present. Perhaps I should. Furthermore, I normally place trades with the hope of getting assigned the underlying shares.

You made 70%? Of what?? Of your trading account?

Yeah but I've been trading L2 verticals for 8 years and TDA won't approve me for L4. So spreads it is for me. Just trade wider spreads and they behave like naked shorts.

Love this presentation. You get into emotions, greed. All the math in the world won’t save you if you can’t control yourself. When you say “naked” puts, are you using margin? I trade in my IRA, so I can’t use margin. But I love selling puts. I do weeklies, not 6 weeks. And also love ODTE. I trade the indexes. Particularly SOXL and TQQQ. But there are times that will try one’s soul with those two.
