Nice thing is that the newer models like the V2 Neo are always on sale. Couldn’t beat what I got when I scooped a V2 Neo 50% off.

Anyone near a Microcenter should consider the Ender 3 S1 Pro.

They MSRP at $400, but are currently $250 for the holiday season. Skip the ender 3 Pro because by the time you upgrade it to match features, that $100 printer is more expensive

How can anyone say Bambu Lab released "competiotor to Ender 3"? BL produces literally nothing in the ballpark of the the price of Creality Ender 3. Also, by spotting the video I was expecting a third of it is going to be filled with "obviously better alternatives for the buck". I got Sovol.

Best printers are core x y, bed slingers cause ghosting on prints when trying to print faster (moving all that mass/print bed causes ringing), I started with a i3 machine that's now got a new home and I just build my own light weight core x y machines these days, they are based on working printers by Voron and Vz-bot and modded to suit what I like or need, I don't buy any printers just parts to build them, it's a hobby and keeps me happy......🙂

Having got into 3D printing with a WANHAO i3 (v2?) I've ended up with a Ender 3 v2 and it's been a great if slow workhorse, I added bed levelling and different firmware and it's pretty amazing the results it can create. I've been looking at both the Creality K1 and Banbu P1P and both push you down the property software and cloud solutions road that in Creality's case seems to be a bit half baked and with Banbo's its lets harvest as much info as we can and share with anyone willing to pay. So I'm a bit lost as to where to go from here, Voron looks interesting but pricy.

Bambulabs didnt just put a nail in coffin for creality it is also one for prusa. Now creality is forced to make better printers or make their product line lean and Prusa will be forced to innovate. Did you see TT's video on the XL, Prusa has also lost this game

Kudos on mentioning Naomi Wu and linking her story. I suspect some very bad things have happened there. She had said that she had been silenced and would just work on her shop but even her shop work has fallen silent since that announcement.

I think There at least 2 different types of "3D Printer Beginners" : The ones that just want to start printing at the lowest price possible without having to learn how the machine actually works, and then we have the tinkerers, that want to learn how things work and how changing thing affect the machine behavior and final results... For the former, Yeah, an Ender3 is NOT for you... But for the later, there's not better machine! Although I have to agree that Creality would have been better off crating a better accessories line, instead of launching new complete machines wen only one or two specs had change, like instead of the ENDER3 Max, just sell the frame, or instead of the ENDER3 V2, just launch the screen assembly...

I love my Ender 3 Pro. I was able to learn through upgrading and trial and error. I understand more about 3d printing from all of that than someone who starts with an ready out of box super printer. I think that the old K.I.S.S acronym is very much valid here. Keep It Simple S(tupid). There is nothing wrong with minding your bells and whistles. I know my dad laments the loss of your basic Jeeps, that you could easily tinker with vs the luxury ones you have now. But that is hobbiest vs end product user. Depending on what you want out of the experience...one will always be better than the other, and which one that is depends on who you are.

I own several 3D Printers, my first was a DIY Kit from 2014. #3 and #4 are Creality Ender 3. #3 is a dead Ender 3 Pro with Upgrades, he died and i can't figure it out what is broken. But i had a lot of upgrades Part so i got myself the cheapest Ender 3 to buy and putt everything on it. It works it prints but it is worthless for my Usecase as it will destroy him again. #5 is Tronxy X5SA 400 which is a far better Printer, even #1 is a better Printer, but due it's age it needs lot of Maintenance. ( 2nd Board, 2nd PSU, Thermosistors are swapped etc, Literally rebuilded 3 times now close to 3k hours had to swap the mega 2560 after 1.2k). The Creality Ender is a "Good Enough" Printer which shows lot of wear after about 500 hours. #3 lasted about 400-600 hours, #4 is on 100 hours and it starts again. For the novice: 400-600 sound plenty but you are doing lot of night prints on a slower printer like the Ender 3. I had lot of smaller prints and about 40 big ones and it is now dead. For the Build Volume. The reality is that it claims to be a near 9 inch printer, but in reality it is a 7-8 inch printer. Everything over 200x200 on the plate don't work, more like a 190x190 printer. I have now seen 6 Ender 3, and everyone had a bed drop somewhere. Btw someone in to buy a heavily upgraded and improved Ender 3 to Pro standards with BL Touch, Cable Chains, better Spring, Aluminium Feeder, Dampeners, etc... #6 is on the way and i need some space.

Ender 3 - Best printer to learn with.

Ender 3 - Terrible printer until it isn't then it's a work horse.

"If I had to repair it all the time, I would probably give up on it", yeah, sounds like my experience with my Prusa i3 MK3. It's been nothing but cursed. Everyone I've talked to, including Prusa tech support cannot diagnose my problem. I'm well over $200 and countless hours in repairs on it, and I've about given up. @MakersMuse or someone could help me, I would be more than grateful.

To summarize it quickly, problem:
I calibrate 1st layer height. Every subsequent print after calibration will lower the 1st layer height till it crashes into the print bed. Nothing in the software changes, and no changes are input by me. Bed Visualizer indicates a leveled print surface. Only thing that changes between M commands to output the mesh bed visuals is the reported initial z height. Power cycling changes the 1st layer z height to +/- 0.300 mm of initial calibration. Symptoms continue as described above.

Attempted solutions: tightened all nuts, bolts, pulleys, etc., replaced x and y guide rods as well as the bearings (making sure to pack the lube in the bearings), replaced the motherboard, and replaced the pinda probe.

I don't expect the answer here, but if anyone know what it could be, please let me know.

Was originally going to get an ender 3 until I was recommended a SV01, and it was the best decision I've made. Super quick to assemble and basically worked out of the box, with the biggest issue being limited mods for it. I would definitely reccomend a sovol printer over a creality one
