Sorry, you're making poor excuses here.
Werner went through with that chance, that could EASILY have been one of many if Udogie passed through into space to let him run instead of passing to feet. Werner might not have had to shoot if 1 or 2 more players ran with him.
We were boring. Palace defended VERY easily against us. All it took was keeping bodies in the box. Had Johnson not manages to rob the ball from Anderson, Palace probably would have kept their heads and left with a 1 nil.
Whether it's coaching or the players i have no idea, but they need to learn when to up the pace to get in behind teams in the rare occasions they're further up.
At HT we had 82% posession and 2 shots! Neither shot was good either.

Lot of pundits and opinion people down on Werner. I think Werner is great. I hope we keep him. I know he needs confidence but the lad is golden. Pace and team player. I hope he comes good for us and creates loads of chances and scores loads to shut them up and get his loan permanent. COYS

Relief is the word. But got over the line and in hindsight excellent ability to finish a match strong.

I don’t think Son is world class but he’s a world class finisher and I had no doubt he’d bury that. Our captain!

BJ got stick because he’s usually anonymous and can’t attack or beat a man as often as a winger should. But he showed us what he can do and if that’s the real BJ then maybe we did get the player we needed.

Let’s hope we take down Villa next, I think we might!

I would like to see us set up with five attackers to start games when we know we'll be playing against a low block. We've seen a couple of times the extra attacker making a big difference, but we only do it when we're behind. I'm sure Madders and Deci have the wherewithal to drop back when called for, but when we're having 80%+ possession and struggling to create chances, we seem to be missing something.
Great turnaround anyway, and the hope remains for a strong finish. Bring on Villa for what might well be the top 4 final!

Had a good look at Timo in the 2nd half as playing off the left he was right in front of me as he attacked the box. I thought he was trying to make things happen but there does still need to be work from the rest of the team in how to use him. At points he was looking to break forwards only to have the ball played behind him forcing him to check back. When we started playing it to him in the right areas he began to attack his full back and create things. Very pleased he got his goal as it is going to be a confidence thing with him and getting goals will only help his confidence to grow. As we saw with Son a confident player takes the shot early while the keeper is still setting themselves rather than taking the extra touch. General view around where i was sitting at the point he was taken off was one of disappointment as he was playing well and people would have liked to see him play out the 90. Early days of course but 15mil in the summer looks like a bit of a steal.

Yeah, well done to Brennan for changing the game like that. I can't believe he was getting abused lately, very sad indeed. Sonny loves and is so proud to be our captain, so lovely to see his smile all the time, I love his positivity. Cuti's goal and celebration my god 💙💙💙 !!!!
Cuti is one of my favourite players just for his mentality and passion for the game. He clearly loves life at the moment. We as fans can clearly see the magnificent atmosphere within this squad and that's something very important for me to see as a fan !
About Timo, unfortunately when I saw him rushing towards goal I knew he was gonna miss 🙁. On the contrary, I had the opposite feeling with Sonny in the same position. So it will be Timo's job to change our mind before the end of the season. Hoping he does !
Well huge game next weekend !!!
To end my little comment, I wanted to thank you again Alasdair for your articles and vids, you know you are my favourite one 😊

Remember watching Werner at Chelsea thinking he has so many good qualities just sometimes lacked end product. He works his socks off for the team and in this spurs team he can thrive the more confident he gets. 15M for him in todays market is an absolute steal imo

Oratory, Congeniality, and Communication are all different traits and skills. Similar to writing and podcasting there are common skill requirements but they do have some differences. Communication and how others hear us and react to us is so varied and variable that we as people aren’t universally good at communication in every form and situation. It’s just likely the majority of people tend to be better in smaller groups however someone like Ange who clearly has introverted traits and is introspective but has worked in a field of sport that requires group leadership has led to the dynamic you notice about how he can skillfully handle a room of people but not necessarily handle a one on one social interaction with the same ease. Also Ange seems pragmatic at least in some ways so he might not see a one on one interaction as being as vital to his role as handling larger groups. But clearly he can handle people even as individuals because he does what they may need but he doesn’t mingle the professional and personal like so many people do.

Royal needs to go back to whatever Sunday league team we have £5 to. Free flowing attacking football? When? Pure lies. Vicario is Lloris 2.0 & you sit in front of ange & ask duff questions. Ask him when we gonna sign quality like Zaha & griezemann. This squad is half a pile of crap. Spurs got lucky, end of.

Re the Palace game....1) I'm surprised how little discussion there was of the foul on Werner in the box that should've been a penalty 2) Spurs got a lot of corners but I never thought there would be chance of a goal from a corner because the Palace defenders were pretty much all appreciably taller than our players. So are Spurs as a whole one of the shorter teams in the Premier League?

Thanks again Alasdair for the excellent video. Away from football, I've just come back from the US including a visit to the Academy Museum in Los Angeles. Not sure if you've been there but as a film buff you'd love it. They have a terrific room highlighting every Oscars since its inception but the highlight to me was the Godfather exhibit. They had the original costumes, Marlon Brando's office and his desk, original scripts, Francis Ford Coppola's 'Godfather' book with his annotations showing what he wanted in some scenes, the mandolin that played the theme tune...and the horse's head (!). Sorry to veer away from our beloved Spurs.

Ali, earlier this season you mentioned that Ange Ball includes passing out the back, not booting the ball, even when the opponent is pressing. Late in the match vs. Palace, when Spurs were doing so, one of my friends was throwing up his hands, but I told him what you told us. “This is the way,” as the Mandalorian would say.
