Regarding the climate commitment grift, wsdot and my local government is offering a rebate program for e bikes. Either $300 or $1200 toward the purchase is a new bike. Subject to income qualification. But, is likely due to the pile of money they're sitting on, and don't know what to do with it.

That’s exactly the opposite of rent control. Rent control cannot work unless we take care of the tax code and property taxes. Demand is higher due mass migration and that makes it worse. Increasing units available does not help lower prices because it increases property taxes. What democrats passed is not rent control, it’s rent abuse because it only gave property owners a more of a reason to raise the prices. It’s already $100k a year to afford rent and that’s depending on the size of the families.

As a parent, my husband and I raised our 4 kids, the school was great, at times they tried to not disclose certain things but my husband and I made it clear if we pay for their care- housing, sports, school trips, fines, lunches, supplies, and take care of them without thr assistance of THEM answer our questions or we will pull the out, they really understood. They informed us that they had to say this and that but understand and will continue to have transparency. But then again lol this was 6 years ago. Our youngest graduated 2024 but the school continued the communicate which was nice.
