Empty jars fill with water and seal instead of paying for water
ОтветитьI'm becoming quite curious about the name of this blog. If you are hoarding this much food and it goes bad, that would not be frugal in my brain. Just saying... I am not judging, as I'm envious of having that much food and sundries security. I do hope going forward that you could pull items close to their expiration dates and donate them to food pantries or church organizations. Most items sell by dates have some leeway and hungry people will eat them immediately. I'm very much a person who desires to buy extra on sale which is I think a good idea if you have the space for it.
ОтветитьI appreciate the reality in your videos. It makes me laugh and enjoy them that much more! Your Hub is pretty impressed with you!
ОтветитьYou have your own super market, I would be too afraid to buy the dry good so much in advance such as grains, flour and oat, use buy dates aren't always so good. Toilet paper I can understand but all those paper towels 😮. Would love to see you go through the freezer.😊😊😊
ОтветитьOnce I figured out that my daughter and granddaughters would not be wearing my wedding dress I decided to donate it to a charity that uses them to make tiny outfits for preemie babies who don't survive. This way when the moms and dads are able to have a better experience when holding their babies for the last time and giving them something that fits and looks nice for their burial. I was very happy to give it to them!
Ответитьlarge bag of rolled oats - what exactly do you do with that? I noticed you have smaller containers of oatmeal and such - just wondering
Ответитьsell the dress
ОтветитьWedding dress idea: If your daughter doesn't want to save it for herself - there are people that donate their dresses to be made into memory bears for lost babies.
ОтветитьJust a suggestion, but I would put that bag of rolled oats into 5 gallon food buckets - save room!!
ОтветитьHuge preppers here.........I think you would have a coronary if you saw our food ROOM. I use Shelf Reliance rotating shelves for all our can good and dehydrated/freeze dried foods. And we have about 25 cases of jars :)
ОтветитьWhen I see this I realize I've gone seriously overboard. I have a big room with aisles of shelves full of food. 3 freezers full and 2 fridges. I grew up very poor and hungry and have always been afraid if being hungry again. I think I must have at least a year's worth.
ОтветитьMy dad made bookshelves like that and I inherited it... That generation had wonderful skills.
ОтветитьGood opportunity to finnish the ceiling, not good to inhale the insulation.
ОтветитьMy sister used hers to sew gorgeous baby christening gowns for her twin girls. Or if you don’t christen babies maybe for a naming ceremony. Or make little gowns for a funeral home to offer to parents in cases of tragedy.
ОтветитьMy dress is in a box in the attic - 30 years this May 🙂
ОтветитьThis has to be the MOST useful video I have seen in a very long time. The other preppers tell everyone what we need to stock up on. But not how to store it & keeping it all organized. Please give us more ways & places to store our supplies. We really need your help.
ОтветитьI just love your videos, and the music that's in this video it just makes me want to clean!!!
ОтветитьPlease vacuum seal your blankets. Your quilt from your grandma can't be replaced. My hot water heater exploded when I was gone on vacation and ruined so many precious memories. I live in Texas and have pipes in the ceilings. No basements here.....lol
ОтветитьI love my in-home grocery store. The prices at our small town grocery store are INSANELY high - have always been, bcuz they know you’re other choice is to spend the gas/time to get to the cheaper big town aways over. With my own store, I only have to walk down the hall.
ОтветитьI know some people recycle by making either first Holy communion dresses or Baptismal dress or suits for girl or boy….just idea
ОтветитьI have three kids and have no crystal ball to tell me if any of them will want my wedding dress, so... when my younest asked me to wear it to take her trick or treating on Halloween... I did it!! A few times. LOL! I figure the living memories of it for them were worth more than some future of who knows what for a dress I only ever wore once. Most of the dress is still completely salvageable for some future re-purosed used, for example, I had the train of my mom's wedding dress turned into a ring pillow for my wedding ceremony and that's now in my cedar chest for my kids to decide upon when it's time comes.
ОтветитьLove your shows.....your music, not so much. Too emotional and makes me sad, lol
ОтветитьSend your wedding dress to Goodwill, Salvation Army etc. That’s what I did.
ОтветитьI wish i was more like you!!
ОтветитьCans of jars?😂lol
Ответитьfunny lady in a pleasurable way
ОтветитьWow! That is so impressive and looks amazing! Excellent job!
ОтветитьLOL, we must be related, my food room is a disaster and I understand what you mean by getting overwhelmed BUT you have given me inspiration to try and tackle it,
Ответитьjust a warning for canned products that are acidic... and mosrly Pineapple or tomato products... theyll eat away the can. Especially pineapple! it will create a hole and leak out. Ive had some pantry cans of pineapple just amount to empty cans and some odd black pool of something that leaked out and solidified, like some black shalaque! So now I only get a can or two that I will use soon, or get bags of frozen pineapple at trader joes instead.
Bleach will eat a hole in the bottom of the container too. My Clorox bleach ate thru the containet And my cabinet. there is an eaten away hole straight thru my wood cabiney above the washer and dryer!
make sure not to hoard toothpaste. the active ingredients do expire and the plastic tube disenegrates and it is just bad to put in in your mouth when its old!
but great job!
Keep your wedding dress for your grandkids! I got rid of mine and I regret it 😢
ОтветитьIf you haven’t gotten rid of your wedding dress yet, you could make a Christening gown for your future grandchildren. A great new tradition for your family.
ОтветитьOmgosh ! You did so great amazing decluttering and organizing . What a great job !!!💗💪👍
ОтветитьWedding dress...i burned mine
ОтветитьI donated my wedding dress to an organization that recycles them to make burial gowns for stillborns and infants. They salvage everything they can to make multiple gowns and donate them to families at no cost.
ОтветитьIt's good but not everyone has that amount of space in their house
ОтветитьOutstanding job!!! Bravo
ОтветитьMaybe display the quilt and band jacket/medals :)
Ответить9 years?😮
ОтветитьSpent the day organizing our storage and watching this is almost as satisfying as doing that
Ответитьyour husbands reaction was worth it all
ОтветитьI have kept my wedding dress preserved in my closet. Neither of my girls are sizes to wear it. I can not get rid of it at this stage because it was also the wedding dress my mother wore when she got married in 1958.
ОтветитьYou could donate it so little babies who don't make it could have a beautiful burial gown. Sorry to be morbid, but it's really a thing.
ОтветитьProbably a little too late but in Australia we have a person/company who would take old wedding dresses and make them into gowns for still horns etc at our local hospital. They used these to dress the babies in and say good bye. My girlfriend and I donated ours as our girls didn’t want to wear them again and I just kept my vale. You can also donate to thrift store lots of people buy used wedding dresses and can adapt to their style. Love the pantry BTW good job. I need to do our back stock in our garage. Our climate is so cold it all stores so well.
ОтветитьLooks Amazing!
ОтветитьDo others need donated wedding dresses? Ask at your church. Maybe someone can use it and save a few dollars. It's a pretty dress.
ОтветитьI made a garter for my daughter from the lace on my dress for her wedding.
ОтветитьI like how when he said that now you could buy more stuff and you said no how he was like “I’m just kidding.” I feel like he wasn’t 😂
ОтветитьI was wondering if you could do a video on how to save on shopping for clothes, personal care items, cleaning supplies, other types of essentials.
ОтветитьThe container that your quilt was in...any idea where you got them? Or what kind?
ОтветитьTurn the dress into a Christmas tree skirt, you will see it at a special time of year, and it will be useful. It is Gorgeous !
