Driving around endlessly sounds hellish. If I wanted that I'd have been a truck driver and made some money doing it.

Great video guys, just one thing we want to point out is when will be the best time to get the best deal on a used RV. 5 years after 2021, the finance term of 5 years will come to an end then you have to refinance your rig. If you bought in 2021 at say 5.99 % there’s every chance that will be 9.99% and not only that but you will find that you actually owe more than the rig is worth because the used value is going to go down like a lead balloon, there’s going to be a massive glut of them on the market and repossessions. It’s going to get ugly for some and very good for others.

Two reasons: 1). Manufacturers are putting out crap, and 2). RV'ers crave for luxury on wheels vs the basic and simplistic.

For me the biggest problem is fuel cost. My small diesel gets 8 mpg. that equaites to about25 cents a mile times 2 to return home. Add to that the shoddy construction of 2021-22 units because of the bubble and covid and the industry will suffer long term. Great video.

Why would ppl be quitting while housing prices and rents are at an all time high?

Well here in FL our home insurance is forcing us out 100% increase in 2 years. So its either get out of the state or move to a big RV

Huge RVs are dinosaurs, too hard to find a good place to park, are road hogs, gas hogs and are a burden like yachts. I'm so glad that many people are quitting full time RV life, there have been way way too many RVs clogging up the best formerly available places and making us unwelcome also. It may sound selfish but it's all for the best that people are leaving full time RV living as if that was ever a good idea in the first place. Those of us who want to keep our RVs and actually have a good experience , I guarantee we won't miss the crowds. I never fell for full time in an RV, it's an ordeal. You can spend a couple of months at a time but that's about it. I own land and huge RVs make decent rentals as long as you place them on a pad and park them under a well built cover with a storage shed. That's about all they're good for.

Those big rv devaluation is to consider, it’s not a good investment …I prefer have a small cabin on my pickup truck, I travel a lot and still have my vehicle and a house to comeback to.

This is a lifestyle? Awesome, I didn't think that I actually had one. I keep it simple, like a couple other folks have mentioned.

If I wanted the comforts of home, I would have stayed at home. A van is a much better and easier and affordable camping experience. And easier to use to travel to better weather.

$4 or more for a gallon of gas. An RV is a gas guzzler.

Sorry, i don't seem to agree with everything said with this video. We been Full timing for over 5yrs and still love it. I've also seen a high demand for used RV's instead of new RVs, due to high interest rates. People rather pay cash then finance. Now what is shifting at RV parks are the daily rate increases across the US, which is why maybe some RVers are quitting.
I believe RVing is a lifestyle not meant for everyone. Those of us that enjoy this lifestyle for 5, 10, and 15+ yrs know and understand the pros and cons that come with it.

Wait until gas is $10/gal. I live in Southern California and I am pay $6. They need to start manufacturing electric or hybrid RV's. I was thinking of renting one for a trip so my dogs can come vs. taking them in a RV with a pet stay hotel with the dog ees. I did the math per mile, it does not add up. This is a very informative and well thought out video with great information. Thank you.

I am happy that my wife and I don't look at our RV life style with that attitude. Everyday is an adventure.

I can add your video to my list of "Things to know, before you go". I learned a long time ago, to "look it up", do some research, do the home work. Many times I listened to other people, moan and groan over bad experiences, related to vacations. They went, without any knowledge, or pre-planning.
The RV /vanlife, way of life IS changing. The way we eat, meat eaters, to veagan, IS changing. Country dwellers are being replaced by huge warehouses. Just to name a few CHANGES happening in 2023.
