Imperming Baxia when you could've just imperm chao feng was certainly a decision that was made

It ended up kinda like I expected. Men, those combo decks sure do look (un)fun to play against, and kinda why the game has the stereotype of being combo'd to death.

game 4 should have SSd ashuna first, dump it + droplet for droplet, summon vishuda with ashuna, crash into REDMD and bounce back savage. we knew the 2 negates so denying them would have been top priority. especially since you couldnt use those cards in hand. could have kept going into taia, dump adhara with taia, search longyuan, banish adhara to recover a tenyi and discard for longyuan for the standard board. D link only had borrelsword left and chixiau + chenying can easily deal with it

The nib turn 1 game 1 was way too early under droll you could just let them waste resources first before nibbing

the problem with swordsoul is that it is a deck you wouldn't mind playing against and we can't have that in yugioh

Wow that was a huge upset. Even the games SSoul won were super ugly. They never could seem to find their rhythm.

Next matchup should be an easy walkover for DRuler. Plant Link just doesn't have the speed or power to win that.

Keeping Rivalry against Dragons is certainly an interesting choice

It hurts my heart for swordsoul tenyi. Going down as one of my favorite decks and play style. But to a great opponent because the same is said for dragon link.

What was the point of keeping the 2nd droplet in hand for game 4 should have ditched it for 2 negates.

Also why are you keeping rivalry in the deck vs a monotype deck? Is it just for the rivalry+nib play?

Glad dragon link overcame the doubters. Both these decks were fun to duel against cool to see them clash and go to 5

Why not the VFD dragon link build for that year?

Swordsoul could have won the 4th game. On resoultion of Moyo, send Moyo, Droplet, and ashuna to stop all of their negates, then combo off with Ashuna SS Vishua. Vishua pop itself in BP to bounce Dragon Buster, then full combo with Taia.

aside from Protos, SS never was some broken deck. It dies to Nib if you can't early Baronne, and it dies to one negate most of the times, and basically every time to two. I love the deck, but I honestly never got why it was considered so broken.
