You should try tire Ject or flat out in those tires that would make a good video.
ОтветитьWhen I was 8 I got a 1985 ATC Honda 125m brand new,it was a Christmas gift from Santa 🎅 I already had a 1981 atc Honda 110cc..A year later my dad found a guy wanting to sell his 1985 Honda 250es Big Red..Absolute mint condition..The owner stated that there were no more than 10 miles on it..He sold it to my dad for $1250.00 in 1987..Being 10-11years old I was the happiest kid in the world😁 I mean damn this 250es is gonna make it easier and possible for me to build better forts and tree houses even farther back in the woods than usual..My or our Objective was to secure a vast amount of (land) or space for myself and my deputy juvenile delinquents from our Evil(would do anything in the world for us)parents...😎
Kids 11-14 need a place to go smoke their cigarettes without inhaling and look at their nudey magazines😎😎😎
I had a blast being a kid throughout the 1980s!!! I was born in 1977...
Man I was just laying here thinking of when I was about 6 years old we lived on a ranch in Henrietta TX . My dad would pay my 2 brothers and I to go out on that 70s model 3wheeler called BIG RED ! it had big balloon Tires on it . And that bar on the back was nothing more than a handle to hold on to to keep from falling off the back when 2 was riding on it . LOL Find and run over armadillos. Cut a year off and bring them to him and we would get a couple dollars an ear . The reason behind that was they dig holes and our horses and cattle would break ankles running and steppin into an armadillo hole . But I was thinkin back on the fun I had on it . The ponds would ice over an we would hit it goin full blast end up doin circles . Summer same. We would try to go fast enuff to float across the pond , see who would make it farthest . That old Honda it would always start back up . I do know how. To me the tires on ours seemed so much bigger and fatter then what I'm seeing here . It must be because I was a little kid...man very nice collection .
Ответитьi did ride on one that belonged to someone i knew, and all i remember was that when you drove 30mph, the steering
didn't do much anymore. These are no trikes but 3 skippy balls with an engine.
Great video awesome collection are some of the US90s runners?
ОтветитьThe memory of running over my foot and getting sucked under the tire and ran over by the yellow ATC90!
And riding double on a chilly summer night by headlight, with the motor keeping you both warm.
Hey man, great information. I got a question on the footpegs on the 1970's. I am rebuilding a set and can't figure out what finish was on the pegs originally. The frame tubing is painted black on mine and most pics I see but my pegs are solid rust. I don't see any traces of paint or plating on them. Pictures I am looking at some are painted black, some look painted silver, some look like they might have been zinc or chrome plated. Mine look like they were just bare metal haha. Any thoughts on what is correct? Thanks again!
ОтветитьDid Honda make a front basket for these? Mine has one and wondering if it was Hondaline?
ОтветитьCan tire slime go in these tires?
ОтветитьWow 🤩
ОтветитьIs there any hope on the horizon of replica balloon tires being made?
ОтветитьA "US 90" was the second motorized vehicle of any type that I operated. The first was an '85 TRX200. The 200 was maybe a year old. The 90 was already an old 'gal by the time I had my chance with her, but it was a blast. I continued to ride and eventually went to two wheels exclusively. However, I've loved these little machines ever since.
Ответитьwow what a car is that a AC car to? i love cars like that big fan old classic cars . i seen cars like that with rust sell for $20k to $30k i know that car is priceless to you cuz it was your dad car . i bet a car like that with 40k miles worth close to $100k or more . old cars like been jumping up in value like crazy last 7-10 years just saying
ОтветитьCan we still buy tyres for these guys ?
ОтветитьI have to point this out to you. Elcominos stopped production in 87 as well as three wheelers. Now imagine if you had a 1970 Elcomino you could put a us90 in the back!
ОтветитьHi please on atc 70 from 1985 do you know if have a kick starter on right motor ? Or never?
( I have pics) many thanks frederic
Great video! Great information. Just thought you could have mentioned the quick release handlebar clamp and maybe even how the rear axle comes apart. Good stuff though! I've just discovered your channel and have only seen a few videos but loving what I'm seeing so far!
ОтветитьMy child hood dream all right there.
ОтветитьLove the challenger too, you got it going on buddy ! Great stuff !
👍
Best off road machine ever made period
ОтветитьI got the frame and fenders and an engine for the 74 daytona orange 90. Are they really rare/expensive?
ОтветитьDoes anyone make ballon tires anymore? Cool car.
ОтветитьYou forgot to mention about the rotatable unlockable handlebars on the early machines-was it deleted on the last balloon tyre US90? Also, can you do a video on how the rear axle pulls out so the machine can be put in the boot of a car? That would be great.Greetings from the U.K
ОтветитьTo get an appreciation for what the early 1972 ATC could do, search "Canol Trail ATC".
ОтветитьI can't take my TriZ or 250R ANYWHERE without people walking up and talking about them or trying to buy it. Just part of it! I love it most of the time
Ответитьthe model I have the Mud Bugs and also the Alsport Trisports Dunn cycle was early
ОтветитьToo cool bud
ОтветитьHoly....crap. What a collection. So impressed
Ответитьi have a 1974 atc 90 and i want to sell the ballon tyres and get more standard tyres for normal riding , thay dont have any dry rot and are in great condition, just wondering how much i could get for them and where should i look for new tyres?
ОтветитьLaugh Honda ATC90 is for dirty soil drying ride it weak of Engine
ОтветитьLove to get one now. Bring back some fun memories.
ОтветитьSport king inc. Made a bike and trike from 1968 to 1972. In Detroit mi then Rogers City mi.
Ответитьso do these tires float better than the stock ones on all other models?
ОтветитьVery cool machines. Been looking for a good one. One will pop up sooner or later.
ОтветитьWeird story I cant confirm if true- My dad lived on a farm in Victoria Australia and aparantly Honda representatives visited his families farm and saw a custom made 3 wheeler he built and thought that was an amazing idea and copied the idea and as a thank you gift Honda gave my dad the very first 3 wheeler they ever produced and it's still in our shed at home, it's green and like your one and came with a wooden flatbed trailer.
ОтветитьThe first minute of this video had me scrambling for the Sub Button! OMG this collection! Going to find the ATC collection video!
ОтветитьHello I loved your video I recently found 2 (Barn find) 1970 or 71 Honda Trike with great condition balloon tires. I wondered if you could share any good parts websites for parts. I will try to rebuilt what i have but need a few things. trying to keep original thx JQ
ОтветитьGreat vid, i was wondering about the history of these funny wheeled three wheelers after watching you weld up the stands. Looking in your older vids i found this one. Thanks
ОтветитьI just bought us90-101271 here in DE, it has the folding hoop pegs. Also, the axle only uses a spacer on the right side.
ОтветитьHow do the balloon tires handle compared to the conventional wheel/tire combo?
ОтветитьI have read 1969 US90’s, have you ever seen one?
ОтветитьThanks for all your information. I had an orange 1972 as my first ever honda . had the 1972 as my first motorized with gears. had a 3.5hp minibike before that. Then I saved up to get a 1985 200x. rode it all summer and winter [did 2know better to change oil then]. I blew it up put rod through front of cases right behind front motor mount. I had local dealership rebuild it for 800$. wish was that cheap nowadays to rebuild and replace engine cases. in late 1990s I picked up a my second 200x also was 1985. I stupidly sold it when I started building up my 2001 400ex full elka suspension lonestar racing a-arms and axle. was +4 inches and wow did it handle like it was on rails. I then had hotcam old stage 2 cam installed with a ross 416 piston. soon as I completed that build. Honda announced the coming in 2004 trx 450r. I got the 3rd one from my dial first one that had hrc kit installed I had a sparks race pipe sitting at my house the day I picked up the r from dealer. I rode it once and tore it apart bought lonestar a-arms for it they wer +2w+1f. bought a geforce axle from rocky mountain atv had a few pieces powder coated. Unfortunately the R was stolen from my friends farm in his garage. the theives cut through his wall to get in then they disassembled the garage door to get all the atv's out. He had a few heavily built atv's in there.
Our shitty police department gave me such a hard time reporting my machine stolen. I had to go to a different town's police department to get my serial number added to the stolen list. I really believe that our small town police were involved somehow since they wouldn't do they jobs to list all our stolen machines on the list.
i think i just bought a 1972,3 barn find
ОтветитьThose balloon tires were developed for the sand dunes.
ОтветитьThe 1st 3 wheelers where made here in the us. Spd tricart or a tricub. Rupp made a 3 wheeler called a alsort trisport
ОтветитьWe would patch thotires on the outside. It would work for a while. After running out of usable tires we made an adapter to put rimmed atc tires on ours. Now you can buy the replacement tires. Sorry I cannot remember who sells them anymore.
ОтветитьIs something like $350 a tire last I looked
ОтветитьI mean when there 4the taken
