The sad part about this is even without Faruk, David becomes Legion because he was a good boy in the original comic, he saved the minds of thousands of people with his mutant power.
Omega Level Mutants already have their powers at birth and sometimes before birth just like Jean Grey, David was bron into power but even with guidance from his father, his act of saving the minds of all those people who were about to die and putting them inside his mind, he still ended up dealing with what people thought was a disease all his life.
