Just watched your video and was a bit curious because it isn't that easy to get that membrane and glue here in europe. I just ordered a dizi from the series of Mo Dao and don't know because Im just a beginner, how much of this membrane will get broken and how far you will get with 2 or 4 packages. And if a beginner could use something else. Shipping costs and so let me think about the best way.

I use extra thin comdom. it's easy to install, make sure you cut using scissors first so that people don't know what it is.

What is the glue? I got a dizi today and had to use sticky tape to stick the membrane on because no glue was supplied with the dizi. Is the glue something I can make myself or buy easily in Australia?

thanks for the video I have a D key dizi and I can play some notes but the sound does not sound good to me the characteristic sound of it, what could I know? the membrane has wrinkles

Thank you so much this helped a lot. I didnt cut my membrane at first and was wondering why it was so small. I also forgot to clean the hole with finger after putting the paper paste. Now I have it done corrrectly thank you.

My flute always makes some kind of whistle sound.. It doesn't work.. I tried with glue.

Hi! I just got a dizi for Christmas and i tried putting on the membrane... now it works except for the higher notes. I can play them... but it stops making the buzzing sound. Where did I go wrong? If it makes any difference mine is in the key of D
