I'd forget the singing if I were you.

I have no issues singing and playing along to songs where I’m just strumming chords. When it gets difficult is when I’m playing fill licks within the chords and then trying to sing the song. Great example is Blackwater by the Doobie Brothers. No problem singing the chorus but trying to sing the verses and continue to play all the small fills confuses my right and left brain.

I can change chord just fine but it’s just my strumming hand decides to do whatever tf it wants

I write by hand the song on paper. While I am writing I sing then I put the chords on and sing. It's old school but for me it helps

Or what you sing start to match the rhythm of the guitar playing >_< I started doing this by default myself. Only doing single strums at every 4th beat to get the timing down. It really helps a lot.

Do you think this would go for bass guitar as well? I am going to be singing lead for this cover my friends and I are doing, but I’m the bassist and will have to do that too. I didn’t even think anything of it until this evening. I hope I could use some of these tips

I’ve always wanted a technique on how to play and sing at the same time instead of playing randomly and repeating until I get it right. This is exactly what I needed ! THANK YOU SO MUCH 🙏🏻

Doing just down strums for me was tougher than using a strumming pattern because it meant I had to be better about keeping the beat or I had to count down strums in addition to everything else. I practiced a strumming pattern until it was almost totally a habit and didn't have to keep count.

Next, who wants to find out how to sing while playing trumpet?!?! The trick is to drill 3, 2 5/8'' holes in the proper places of your throat.... be careful, if you drill in the wrong place everybody will notice and that'd be super embarrassing.... and youll probably die.... but its totally worth the risk to become a singing trumpeter.... and to drown in all that trumpet groupie poon!!!

I dig the videos,I'm 40 and my eyes are bad so I strain and practice in the dark mostly,at night...lol.

It came pretty easy for me without having learn from watching a video. The key is that each chord change means a change in your singing based on the song you’re trying to sing, thus it’s easy for me to put it all together.
