There’s no such thing as scary CGI because CGI is dogsh1t.
ОтветитьPersonally I find The Jurassic Park T-Rex cute.
ОтветитьThat movie ruined Beowulf. It was nothing like the epic poem!
Ответитьthe t rex is meant to be scary?? LOL
ОтветитьNone of these CGI monsters are scary.
Granted some have great DESIGNS, but none are scary.
Yes, CGI takes talent and skill, but in order to be effectively scary, the monster (ideally,) should be presented in a way which can convince the viewer it is REAL.
None of these monsters scared me as much as “hokey” practical effects from years ago.
Take a look at Jaws 2 for example. When the shark goes into the lagoon, and you see it swim sideways with its mouth open about to eat the guy in the boat— that’s horrifying.
When you only see the shark’s head come up behind Marge, as she is struggling to get on to the boat, THAT is horrifying.
Ok where's the real list? This is mild at best.
ОтветитьThe mutated bear and the Ritual monster are the winners in my book. I don't creep out easily, but those two came very close to doing so.
ОтветитьI would prefer it top 10 scariest cgi Movie creatures
ОтветитьThe dementors aren't scary at all
ОтветитьBeowulf has not aged well, most games have better graphics nowadays.
ОтветитьDude the Quiet Place is the least scary Horror movie ever.
ОтветитьGives me scp vibes for some reason 🤔
ОтветитьI agree with all the comments here. I found Shelob absolutely nauseating. I don't like spiders anyway but the creepy spidery way she moved and her size made my skin crawl.
ОтветитьSeriously??? Dementors from Harry Potter????
ОтветитьJP was one of the most “we are in the future” moments of my life. Happy I got to experience that shift.
Ответитьi always thought mama was scary asf
ОтветитьCgi monster, to this day, don’t look real. It spoils movies for me.
ОтветитьTHAT IS ONE SCARY MONSTER!
ОтветитьIT'S A GIANT MONSTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ОтветитьI've been a big fan of Beowulfs hideous Grendel for years now think I'll watch the film later this week again.Loved Cyclops from 7th voyage of Sinbad,Troglodyte, half man half horse, saw jurassic park 5 times at cinema, alien zenomorph, queen, Cloverfield monster was great.Hope to see a Grendel type in the upcoming Callisto Protocol Yikes.
ОтветитьIn my opinion the bear in Annihilation and the creature from The Ritual are the scariest monsters I have ever seen
ОтветитьI know you ain’t gonna put T. rex at the in the list and not shin Godzilla
ОтветитьAnubis from that found footage movie was scarier than most of these monster, there is one more found footage movie monster I can't recall the name, but premise is a crew goes in to video tape an old house or villa or something.
ОтветитьThe worst is clarely the mutan bear. Omg the sound he does is soooooo much disturbing and make me shacking of terror
ОтветитьFirst of all the Shimer looks like a giant soap bubble and second that bear is a Skinwalker!!😮
Ответить"The Ritual" (2017) That creature is a Skinwalker, or a Vendigo!!😮
ОтветитьFor me that bear was the first ever (and probably last because I don't find most horror movie monsters that creepy) movie monster that made me feel a kind of dread and terror. Just thinking about the fact how accurately it can mimic the last sounds of the decased while there is nothing human about this creature (except the human skull) terrified me
ОтветитьThe monster from the Thing.
Grimcutty
Annabelle
Jeepers creepers
Biden
OH FUCK HOW I GET IN AUSTRALIA?!
ОтветитьThe new Cats movie is the creepiest for me! So Uncanny! :D
ОтветитьI remember looking at Grendel and beowulf when I was like 9 or something in school
ОтветитьThe Bear from Annihilation should've been at 1.
ОтветитьRexie deserves that #1 spot y’all!! She is gorgeous and the absolute best. The death angels are a solid #2. John Krasinski outdid himself.
ОтветитьThis list is shit.
ОтветитьEvery monster seen in the movies has everyone on edge, especially when it’s in CGI. And yes, they might see them in their worst nightmares yet. But not all monsters are scary, some of them were just created to entertain children and others were inspired by myths and legends through imagination. And yet at times they’re made up from these people that have superstitions or beliefs to warn people about what will happen if they don’t listen to their advice. But sometimes knowing you shouldn’t do something makes you wanna do it anyway.
1. Imhotep (The Mummy)
2. Grendel (Beowulf)
3. Moder (The Ritual)
4. The Gwoemul (The Host)
5. The Dementors (Harry Potter) franchise
6. The Mutant Bear (Annihilation)
7. The Death Angels (A Quiet Place)
8. Shelob the Giant Spider (The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King)
YES YES YES. Glad to see "Grendel" from Beowulf included
ОтветитьRitual is the last Netflix movie I randomly start watching and really enjoyed. I literally ran out of the room when the god monster was revealed.
ОтветитьCloverfield fun fact:
I was a ex girlfriend hud and I broke up
Before we met I was with my boyfriend named terror dog a real name “Hebru”
We fell in love if I was in a movie “ghostbusters afterlife” He trusted me…
Me and hud can’t be together anymore…
Moder is a wendigo
ОтветитьNo harm ever came from reading a book... ask Ash Williams. 😆
ОтветитьXenomorph (Alien) beats any CGI movie monster created since. That is a masterpiece of concept and design.
ОтветитьYou really didn’t delve into movies much at all on this one. So many better choices
ОтветитьHonorable mentions:
- Spider Mannequin (Silent Hill Revelation)
- The Homunculi (Don't Be Afraid of The Dark)
- Clover (Cloverfield)
- Xenomorph (Alien, not sure if this is 100% CGI though)
- Every creature in The Cabin in The Woods
- Cats the Movie in its entirety
The bear was terrifying
ОтветитьAnnihilator makers “ How do we make the most creepy freakishly nightmare bear more creepy?” “ Ohh make it have the human scream that can give me nightmares it’s self perfection” 😳
Ответитьgreat list, but… umm… I’m not sure you can call a T-Rex a monster.
ОтветитьI don’t afraid of monsters… I kinda like monsters
ОтветитьVirgin airways advert has put me off flying for life
ОтветитьMy favorite CGI monster be murder from the ritual
Ответить
