You mentioned fish hiding under mats for shade. In summer we have all been taught to fish the shade. I caught my 3 biggest largemouth in dead heat of summer here in SC in middle hottest part of the day out offshore in shallow area 2-3 feet depth with no shade in sight. They we kinda relating to stumps but holding out 5-10 feet away. They were nowhere near shade. I caught an 8.6 - 9.3 - 11.4 all in same area & same conditions.

As far as bass master tournaments, I think they definitely should go to half & half with FFS. I like FFS. I have a lvs34 system & 10" Garmin on my Hobie pa12 kayak. That said for professional level I wanna know who's best anglers. Not best scopers. LS have definitely dominated tournament winning lately. Which is why I would like to it limited. Not banned! LS isn't as easy as some people try to say. It absolutely takes time to learn & skills to use effectively. But in comparison to traditional fishing it's waaay easier to catch them consistently! You absolutely catch a lot more fish with it you wouldn't have otherwise. Only allowing it half the time will show who's best overall angler's. If there's guys that go full season that can't catch them & compete without it. They should be removed from professional level. Go back to Wednesday nighters in their local home lakes.
