What to ACTUALLY Look for on Gear to be More Powerful - Diablo 4

Sacred gear can be god rolls. I guess you havent seen, might be the most important useful info youve never heard

Im level 62 doing low damage my max hit is 22k in damage i feel like im doing something wrong lol

My strategy in T4 is pick up all rare/legendary/unique, sell all the SACRED, and look through all the ANSCETRAL. this way I get lots if gold, get lots of material and it is very fast to offload the sacred stuff for gold.

This is not the way. Or it's not my way lol. I mean play how you wanna play, but rares roll great, and the likelihood of a max roll with the perfect affix(s) is waaaaay higher. Just imprint an aspect and make it legendary.

This is how you do an incredibly specific and specialized build, and you'll get there way faster while you wait for those legendaries to drop a perfect roll

Not to mention the silver ore you'll salvage. Little known fact is it becomes the most valuable resource lol

Depends entirely on your spec...but some things are universally good such as crits n vulnerable on rings n shit...I found damage reduction flat/ close/ distance and +armor% on pants the other day :)

The best gear stat for me is a 20mg Adderall. Tell me I am wrong. lolz :) (yes 40mg is better but you can't start the gaming session reworking all the gear in your bank)

Ancestral only, no sacred. Item power needs to be over 800 to qualify for me. Good rolls on aspects I extract or keep.

I had an item that had massive damage reduction for both close and distant enemies. Thing made my Rogue an unstoppable Juggernaut and then in my tired infinite wisdom of trying to raise my damage I must have scrapped it. I was doing Tier 4 at 57 with mostly no problems. Now,, at 67 I'm back doing the dance. You get an item with max damage reduction for both close and distant enemies safeguard that thing and upgrade the hell out of it. I'm crying a little inside.

As a tank,I was wondering if I should stack armor or health. For exemple on my chest as a tank should I run 2Dr 1health 1 armor stats, all DR or no health on it or all Dr with one health, ETC…

Why in hell are 3 levels of gear yellow or gold....

I get the reason to tell players to NOT pick up RARE after entering Nightmare and to ignore Sacred once you get to Torment, but both of those are kind of short sighted as you can upgrade both of those to higher quality legendary with the right aspect. Yes, the odds of finding something worthy at a lower quality tier is a long shot, but once you start getting to the 700 power level tier, it is possible to have at least a great sacred end up being a great find. I know players want to not waste time on lower quality gear, but at LEAST pick up gloves, boots and jewelry as power level on those items are much less important than the affixes they carry.

Season 2 they are suppose to fix resistance so might change then

You are going to want pick up every piece of loot possible! Scarp all unwanted legendaries, then sell everything else. Iv not left anything behind, im also lvl 70, and I have 40ml gold compared to your what, 5.6ml....

See this why I suck at games. I was really struggling because every time I’d get a weapon or armor that has a higher item power I’d throw an aspect on it and use it but my damage suffered appreciate this. Thank you

The last i heard resistances arent workin correctly. Or the way they want em too. Supposedly theyre lookin into it for season 1.

Also my attack power is a third of my armor amount. I don’t get it

So annoying and confusing sorting gear. Some gear has the same attributes with a few things being different. I never know what to choose and what to scrap. Should I keep the bear with extra mana or the gear with extra stats? The gear with crowd control or gear with plus 40 to life. Overwhelming

Yeah I experimented with a sword that did less dps than a spear and the sword does more damage because of the damage % buffs…I think

Something you dont adress is when going to ancestrial gear you want to still pick up sacred gear, anything between 700 and 724 can be upgraded to the 725 breakpoint making the stats equivolent to ancestrial.

No. Right off the bat. I am STILL picking up rares at lvl 79. Ancestral rares can be turned into legendaries, one of the affixes can be rerolled, it can be socketed as well.

Telling people not to pick up rares for potential upgrades is 100% wrong.

You need crafting materials. You need to sell them for money for enchanting. Big, BIG mistake.

I have noticed NM dungons dont drop loot as expected. Other then the end reward. But doing the events in nm dungons do give me really decent drops. Has anyone else experienced this?

man, great content!, please make the same video but with the rogue for hardcore, im a diablo 2 hardcore player, now im playing rogue hardcore in diablo 4, and i now that survival (damage reduction, resistences, and block ) is the most important thing in hardcore in diablo 2, more important than damage, so... in this case what we can do? Use legendaries with damage reduction?

I noticed all damage increases the total value of your Attack power. If attack power is the
primary numerical factor used to multiply with the other multiplier damage buckets, which I think it is. That particular stat feels more important than at first glance compared to the other additive dmg affixes. Probably good to invest in some all damage. Maybe not on gear but hit up the damage% nodes on the paragon boards.

I’m curious. Is there any way to target uniques for farming? I know nm dungeons drop uniques at a better roll/ancestral but I’m a Barb main level 82 and I really want gohrs grips and just can’t find them to save my life. I’ve got a lot of hours of play also

You're wrong about never picking up rares. The rolls in this game are so hard to so you need every chance you can get. My advice is once you get to world tier 3 only pick up sacred rares. And in world tier 4 only pick up ancestral. But seriously pick up rares. My gloves and one of my rings where originally rare which i picked up. Sure Legendaries has higher item level. But perfectly rolled gloves and rings are so good, especially rings. So that you can still use sacred in end game. Also i am sure that most best in slot, necks will be rares originally. Cause getting a perfectly rolled neck is almost impossible.

What i do is loot every rare ancestral and then sort after item level. Before i vendor / disenchant. I've found some rares with over 800 item level. So they definitely have high enough item level sometimes.

I subbed to this channel for the D2 Res content. If Diablo: Try again is the direction you're going, I'll look elsewhere.

Attack speed is the only stat that matters

Im not sure how people are filling up their inventory so often. I pick up everything (level 46) and have only filled my inv a few times. I mostly solo which may be part of it, but enemy density is really low and so is the loot drop rate. Materials and gold are worth it.

The itemization in this game seems really confusing...all the damage to X special case seem unnecessary. What's the point, just give me damage?

Don't forget that if you have a favorite aspect, put it on your amulet since you get a 50% bonus to the aspect on amulets. I still pick up a lot of trash to vendor for gold. Enchanting is expensive! Extracting aspects and imprinting them can be pretty expensive.

Not picking up rares is a huge mistake.
Farm rares, keep them and upgrade them into legendaries using codex aspects to obtain 'rare' armor variants.
You can get cool looking gear that you cant get anywhere else, by upgrading your rares into legendaries.

The people asking these questions are no where near world tier 4. Let alone 2-3 comfortably

im not sure you actually understand the bucketing concept. While stacking all the "damage vs. xxx" has diminishing returns, that concept goes along with all buckets. If you end up only stacking main stat, crit dmg, and crit chance and ignore dmg vs. xxx stats, you fall into the same trap. it comes down to striking the right balance in order to strike the best mathematical balance for dps
