It's interesting how the idea about following rules is discussed similarly in the Indian stories of Ramayan and Mahabharat. Ram, it's said, was the "Maryada Purushottam" (Maryada means limit or boundary (rules) and Purushottam literally means the best of all men). King Ram followed all Maryadas, for example when he felt that his duty as a king required him to get separated from his wife, he does so, and drops her to the jungle to live in a hut. Whereas Krishna we say is Purna Purushottam or literally meaning completely best of all men (complete=Purna). Krishna would bend rules if required for rightousness to prevail. When he sees the enemy of Arjun, Karna with his chariot stuck in the mud, he asks Arjun to shoot an arrow. Arjun says it is against the rules to attack him while he bears no weapon. Krishna reminds him of deeds done by Karna where he had broken rules and tells him it is kshatriya dharma (duties of a warrior) to destroy the evil.

Man, I am just so damn glad there are people in the world like you two. I get mentally beaten up by all the ads and bad examples that I can't seem to keep from showing up in my normal day to day. Knowing there are people out there that exemplify the things I know to be true (the truth rings like a bell) gives me hope for my kids.

These are real men talking about real mental health. We need to lose the stigma that men can't talk about their emotions.

the only reason I like peterson more than jocko is cause peterson doesnt sell all the energy drink and protien and stuff etc. he really just wants to help people but I love that both these guys completely agree on most issues. and unlike andrew tate they actually want to help people, for example this video be dangerous. What are you doing Jacko? I cannot see why you do not have Dr. Peterson come back on your show all due respect a man of his caliber is needed on Jocko‘s podcast in these times. This is what your audience is looking for whether people agree with that man or not his words are very powerful and much needed for a society of people and the bad corrupt government. I disagree with this monster thing. You can't be a monster and call yourself a hero. Real men don't need to project violence. And families want peace, not controlled rage from their dad/husband.

Second time watching this and seeing it again I realize something. Jocko is a sigma male, Gen X, with an aura of incredible force, so to say. And Jordan’s response is very telling. I need too understand this when dealing with my phycologist. I think I surprise him with my questions sometimes as well. Jordan recovers well, but the question visibly paused him.

I needed this today I signed the “paperwork” for the Agency and was called up to the 7th in 1996 😳🤣🙄👊🏼 I was ahead of my “Instructors” …the day of Graduation I was called in…I did the the ENTIRE Program & told I couldn’t walk across the “Stage” with my Cadre 96-04 🤬
Weeks later “they” reached out & realizing they made a bad decision they indirectly messed up…I was the top Cadre member in our 12 men & women Cadre… I was even asked to work with my guys during out Program 😳🙄😂👊🏼 then told I wasn’t allowed to Graduate? That messed with me ever since “then” !
