There's something ironically wonderful about going to the Arctic Circle (a white place) in a white car that's called the Shadow 😆😆 Great idea for a trip, the northern lights is at the top of my bucket list items now that I've crossed off visiting the Amazon rainforest last summer (albeit only for a few days).
ОтветитьI like Harry so much that I want to be Harry.
ОтветитьWell morning, we’re in hell.
ОтветитьHaving to take off his coat 😂😂
ОтветитьYou know carburettor vehicles are QUITE touchy with climate changes. Like extreme cold or extreme humidity or temperatures. Not at all surprised by the starting problems at the hotel.
ОтветитьSo nice... 🏞❄🚙😊
ОтветитьFabulous I loved it when he said ohh I thought you could park next to it great old rollar
ОтветитьHi Harry, just returned from the Arctic Circle in my 1970 Silver Shadow. Dublin to the Arctic and back, 4,500 miles. Epic trip. Car ran brilliantly. Thanks for the inspiration!
ОтветитьLoved this so much...i went and bought a 73 shadow for shits and giggles . Thanks Harry.....i think :D
ОтветитьNAT ABAD BEDERO ILIKIT I M ABAUTO GAT A 1960 RODROS LIKIT
ОтветитьOut of all modern tires, the studdless winter-tire propably suits the rolls best. They're soft, comfortable and yet they have "adequate" performance in almost any conditions.
ОтветитьThis trip is on my bucket list for my '68 T Series which I average about 4,500km per year
ОтветитьWouldn’t that of been special if she turned to all zeros just as you hit the Artic Circle
ОтветитьAwesome adventure!
ОтветитьYou know you've made it when your Wristwatch is worth more than your Rolls Royce...Nice Panerai.
ОтветитьTitle: let's go to the north all the way to the Arctic
Reality: let us drive in Tromso outskirts
Touring in a RR is what everyone dreams of weather they want to admit it or not. Good on you, Sir.
ОтветитьIf I took anyone on a road trip it would be Harry…….
ОтветитьAs I'm in Northern North Dakota, where it usually sees -30 to -50°F in the winter (was -20°f last week, that's -29°c, so -50f is -45.5c, the math is strange) and while I have two vehicles specifically for these winter months (a 94 AWD Chevy Astro, which currently refuses to start, believe it's a crank position sensor, and a 97 GMC RCSB K1500, which is down with a ruptured brake line), I'm forced to be driving my "summer" vehicle, which is/was an Arizona purchased 89 Cadillac Sedan DeVille which has never seen snow, has never driven in snow, and now has been forced to drive occasionally last winter due to troubles, and all of this one.... and it absolutely hates it, being FWD and without a LSD, so if there's more than a few inches of snow, it'll just spin the one front tire 🙄
Hopefully tomorrow the truck should be finally getting it's brakes addressed so I can put the poor Cadillac back into hibernation, but I must say (besides my run-on sentence lol), it never fails (knock on wood) to start, unlike that damn van 😅
So British! <3
ОтветитьI might have missed it, what type of tyres did harry use?
Ответитьche meraviglia!
ОтветитьHarry , I love you! Your as nuts as GTJOEY who went from New York to Alaska AND BACK in ten driving days! In a 2004 Aston Martin Vanquish!
I met my twin!
GTJOEY1314 Enjoy the ride
👍👍👍
ОтветитьI love the Shad 1. What a great vid. Cheers.
ОтветитьYou're a better man than I am, Harry Harrison. Really enjoyed this sphincter tightening video. Cheers.
ОтветитьI once drove one of these to Oxwich Beach on the Gower peninsula in Wales. Not quite the artic, but I enjoyed every minute of it! A fab car and it's amazing to see one preserved and looked after so well 🙏
Ответитьsans OBD 2, great
ОтветитьThe car doesn't matter, it's the adventure that counts.
ОтветитьI love your road trips in the snow with a white car, especially the Lotus episodes. I hope you do more trips like this in the future. Any white car you have will do. I feel like I'm on the road with you. -Mike from Seattle.
Ответить"87 Euros, 60 liters" sounds far-fetched just 4 years after this video...
ОтветитьGreat stuff. I’m a bit of a road tripper myself. I did a 7,000 mile drive from Florida to Alaska in a Focus ST, also on Blizzaks. It was mega.
ОтветитьIntersting program
Ответить"180 miles to Hell." 😂😂😂
Ответитьwait let me guess, he bought this car for $4000 pounds, probably put over $15,000 pounds into "tweaking" it for the journey BUT he is going to quibble over the price of petrol being 40 cents cheaper somewhere?
ОтветитьI'm guessing Harry will put the sticker on straight when he's in warmer climate ^^ Could you imagine that ride on a Bike?! Even one of the larger one's like a Goldwing with heating would be an incredible challenge for the bike, and human alike.
ОтветитьI suppose you could assume that every loved, genuine Rolls has a lifelong contract with the road.
ОтветитьHi Harry, we are great fans of yours.....I and my son are petrol heads so love the show!!!! Great vid on the Rolls going to Norway, we (the family) did a similar trip to Nordkapp (£70 at the top to stay one night in the camper was steep (in the mist)!!)from Cornwall and returned via Finland and Sweden in the summer of 2018.Without a doubt the best experience for us all to date. You managed massive miles on those icy roads and the 900 mile stint in the end is really impressive to you and the old motor!!You are spot on with distances and speed in Norway, we followed the coast initially to the Lofoten islands and although beautiful at times painfully slow, and that was summer driving!! We had 11 weeks and covered 7500 miles.Keep up the good work Harry your videos are fantastic. Rob
ОтветитьThis will be my third rewatch of this video series. Planning to do a similar trip with my GR Yaris this winter. Very excited!
ОтветитьAs they say Harry….a Rolls doesn’t break down, it just fails to proceed… great video. What a joy. Thank you.
ОтветитьMa786sai Dua salute to your indomitable Spirit, HaRRy to your forbearance, fortitude.
ОтветитьPretty epic trip, love watching these videos!
ОтветитьIt's the start f a 3 day weekend in the U.S., and I am doing my favorite holiday traditions - going along with Harry on one of his epic drives. Loving it!
