Fuyuko ふゆ Belly Dance @ Vanilla Mood, Roppongi 六本木 2011.7.29

Fuyuko ふゆ is a Japanese belly dancer residing in Tokyo, Japan. As you can tell she has a very original and sexy style of belly dance.

"Maq Ito" is the Japanese band backing Fuyuko in this performance, they call themselves a noise band and play a style of fusion music that is very reminiscent of Miles Davis' early electronic band years around the "In A Silent Way" era.

I met Fuyuko through Facebook and began speaking with her because I fell in love with her stimulating belly dance photos. I have friends as belly dancers and have encountered numerous of them here throughout the Greater Tokyo Area. I also have seen some shows, but it was Fuyu's distinct look that made me take notice of her. And let me tell you though, the photos pale in comparison to going to see her live up close and personal.

Now, in my own personal humble opinion, I have declared belly dancing to be the single most sexiest dance in the world, more so than even the Latin dances such as salsa, samba, and flamenco, and other couple dances. Additionally Fuyuko has become my favorite belly dancer in Tokyo at the moment.
