Hybrid picking is when you use your fingers in conjunction with your pick to play the guitar. In this example over C minor pentatonic, you can see how you can use hybrid picking to cascade through the strings, playing faster, and with more attack. This is great for country or blues. The trick is to move your middle finger and pick together always together like a little unit. Practice any of this little ideas slowly.
