How to Improve your Guitar Solos // 3 Tips!

In this guitar lesson I'll teach you 3 tips that will instantly improve your guitar solos. You don't need to learn anything extra. You don't need to study. You simply need to remember these tips, and you will learn how to improve your guitar improvisation.

If you're a beginner or in the intermediate stage and your solos aren't making sense, or you simply want to know the ingredients of a good solo, you will definitely benefit from applying these tips to your playing.

Some of these tips might be a little counterintuitive. Especially the top secret 4th tip that I mention at the end of the video. That particular one is a trick that will keep you focused on what is most important in music. What's great about these is that you don't need to learn any licks, or need a deep wealth of knowledge. This is more like philosophy that anyone can pick up.

By following these three tips, your solos will start to make sense, and your playing will instantly improve. They are magical.

The point of these tips is to get you into the mindset of making good choices when you take a solo. Don't come out that gate playing a million notes per second. You want to develop motif, have a nice vibrato, leave space in your playing, you want to listen, you want to take the audience on a journey. If you play rambling garbage without any repetition, with no story, the audience will be uninterested no matter how fancy you play. If you want to solo better, and improvise better, you might as well improve all aspects of your musicality in the process.
