I love his music but I had no idea how he had passed away. So sad….
ОтветитьSloan you are a inspiration. THANK YOU
ОтветитьYou are a fantastic journalist, FYI.❤
ОтветитьMarvin was an amazing artist
❤
Thank you for this one Sloan. Never wouldve thought you would do one on this legendary Motown singer. I was wondering if you would do a deep dive on him and his 2nd wife Jan who just passed away not to long ago. I believe she was 17 when they met 😖
ОтветитьMy Gosh more details Ive never heard of... Just horrible. Cont'u to RIHP MG💐🌹🕯🕊
ОтветитьHe looked nothing like his father. I wonder if he questioned the paternity of his son? 🤔
Ответитьmarvin gayes music was incredible
ОтветитьPoor Marvin, he seems like he was such a kind soul who truly loved his Mother. It seems like he cared about his dad no matter what. Regardless of his drug issues, it's obvious he was such a good person, always there for his mama. Sorry, but, his dad seemed like a douchebag. His fans must have really been heartbroken. I remember when Selena Quintanilla passed, I was distraught.
Ответить😮😮😮😮😢😢Thank you for charing this 😢❤❤😊
ОтветитьSooo.. my man’s uncle and his partner live there at the place where Marvin was murdered.. no big deal 😂 the inside of the house is incredible!!
ОтветитьHe was Kanye west but back in the days...version😢😮😮😊
ОтветитьRead his autobiography about 13 years ago absolutely 💔he was beautiful
Ответитьknew of him but never knew this story. so terrible
ОтветитьI love the fact that you covered this , Sloan .This was so tragic because we are both from the DMV- Washington DC / Maryland and Virginia.❤❤❤
ОтветитьI had never heard what happened to Marvin Gaye before. It is heart breaking. I hoped he had just retired somewhere.
ОтветитьSam Cooke next!!!
ОтветитьYou should talk about
A TikTok couple that are now in the hospital and jail because the guy shot his girlfriend on the side of her eyes
He’s the GOAT❤ one of my favs! Got To Give It Up, Mercy Me & What’s Going On are my favs!
ОтветитьCheck out Marvin Gaye singing the National Anthem. Greater rendition ever.
ОтветитьJust to specify one of the main reasons that Marvin added the e to his name was because of his fathers cross dressing; it added to the rumors he received regarding his sexuality.
ОтветитьThis was so sad. My mom told me this story also.
Ответить✔️
ОтветитьIf his dad didn't love him, fine. But I bet he was still living off his $$
ОтветитьStill so sad. His dad was awful to him as a kid. Marvin Gaye wanted to die, he just didn't want to do it himself
Ответитьim glad you covered this story, i love marvin gaye’s music but never knew the sad story of his life❤️🩹
ОтветитьLegendary singer. Thank you for covering Marvin's story with care and respect.
ОтветитьI love Marvins music sooo much, I grew up with my parents listening to his music which of course led me to listen to him. I was so sad when I found out how he died, so much talent and for him to go like that is sad💔
ОтветитьMarvin was such a great artist. The world is truly missing something without him. Thanks for covering this Sloan❤
ОтветитьI don't know much about Marvin Gaye aside from his music, but I always wondered if his father mol'd him as a child. Just a gut feeling
ОтветитьHe was Awesome ❤❤❤
ОтветитьWho the hell doesn't know Marvin?
ОтветитьParents told there kids back in the day
I put you in this world and I will take you out. His dad apparently believes in the statement
Oooh you educating some classics! Bob Marley’s story was another one that got me.
ОтветитьI was just curious if you were going to do a video about Richard Simmons dying on July 13th of this year??? ❤️❤️❤️
ОтветитьMy all time fav artist I listen to this day regularly 💙
ОтветитьSexual healing and aint no mountain high enough are great songs by him 💕 rip marvin
ОтветитьOmgg I love this… you should do Judith Barsi she was a voice actor and her father murdered her she wasn’t even 10 😢
ОтветитьMarvin is nothing like West.
ОтветитьYeah, this is a sad story 💔
ОтветитьI remember this like it was yesterday.
ОтветитьAnother great video. ❤🎉
ОтветитьYour parents could literally abuse you or even kill you, but there will always be those people who say, "But they're still your parents"
ОтветитьDo Sam Cooke's death next! ❤
ОтветитьMy mom pointed a gun at me when I was 16 and threatened me, so this story really hit home to me. I can't believe I didn't know about his story before now because I am a casual fan.
ОтветитьThank you for this
ОтветитьI never knew this happened. So heartbreaking.
ОтветитьHis 2nd wife Jan wrote quite the memoir. He was troubled and the drugs made it a million times worse. I remember the day he was murdered and exactly where I was even though I was young. I lived on the Canadian side of the border of Detroit and visited hittsville usa (motown) and with access to radio. Also, his first marriage was to Berry Gordy’s sister, the creator of motown and Jan was underage.
ОтветитьI listen to Marvin Gaye’s music quite often, he’s on my playlist favourites.
A truly tragic ending for someone who bought so much love and joy into the lives of millions he did not know.
These legendary Music Legends still shine through their music…When I’m feeling blah I tune into my old time Music Legends and I smile while singing and dancing to their songs. It’s like they are still alive, they live on through their music, they never die (aka M.Jackson & many more)…
