Unfortunately nobody there who knew how a piano and it's pedals work to be able to fix the problem. Having said that this was probably a way better outcome for everyone watching.

There are a lot of musicians who would have had complete breakdowns and/or total loss of sh*t. Not this girl. Made all the right moves, provided incidental sounds, came back with a functioning piano, smiled sweetly, apologised, got on with it. Class to burn.

The stage crew did not panic. Removed the faulty piano, remembering to follow safety procedures, produced a replacement instrument, did not freak out, DID. THEIR. JOB.

The audience could have racked up, adjusted their senses of entitlement, made a fuss, demanded refunds, stomped out in a huff: not the Dutch. Found enjoyment in Sra Rodrigues' dealing with the situation, stayed put and settled down for the scheduled show.

First rule of show business: the show must go on. It would have given the audience that little bit of extra to lay on their friends over coffee for the next 3 months.

A fantastic sense of humor!
