This album is fantastic. Massively underrated
ОтветитьSome of Zeppelin’s greatest songs are on that record. Since i been loving you is a masterpiece. That’s the way, Going to California! Great record
ОтветитьGallows pole is my favorite Zepplin song. The story cracks me up!
Ответитьgallows pole is a very old gaelic song an folk tale from 1700's what it was about if found guity you had to options pay to not be hung if coudn t pay you paid with blood
ОтветитьThis is a Zeppelin version of a English Folk song. genius.
ОтветитьFella’s, it’s just Rock n Roll!! A mixture of what you are describing is Rock and Roll🤟🏼😎
ОтветитьArguably country music is an amalgam of English, Scottish, and Irish folk music. Fiarport Convention and Renaissance would be bands the guys knew. Plant has an affinity for Americana (the genre of roots country). His later work with bluegrass superstar Allison Krause and his record and tour with Band of Joy showcase his love Plant had a relationship with Patti Griffin a star in her own right and Band of Joy member😊
ОтветитьRobert’s take on gallow pole with band of joy is worth a listen
ОтветитьGuys, this is not American Country Music, Blue Grass ot Nashville! This is THE MEDIEVAL ENGLAND. This is Charles Dickens' England. This is tories' Rothschild's England with the prisons of debtors. This is a triditional song, guys, with the Zep version.
ОтветитьZep 3 was different but definitely epic. Immigrant song, tangerine, gallows pole, since I’ve been lovin you, bron stomp are classics. Plus the album had a spinning wheel with cut outs on the album cover as picture windows. Who the hell does that? Ugh, Led Zep does.
ОтветитьMy fav zeppelin album
ОтветитьThis album is their unplugged album so to speak. Great tunes with just a different vibe.
Ответитьidk if yoi guys are done with the series, but ya'll should add like a section where you both interpret the album cover, maybe with each song and how it can relate to the track. would sound interesting
Ответитьdudes its viking
Ответитьmy days man. my days
ОтветитьYeah, it was a banjo. There was a mandolin in there as well. Kind of a Celtic folk rock. LZI and LZIII, and LZIV were my favorites. LZIV was a continuation of LZIII. People who can't appreciate LZIII are philistines. Beginning with Immigrant Song it's a masterpiece.
ОтветитьBluegrass guys, not country. It’s a banjo also
ОтветитьOld white here, and I luv youse guys reacts. Respect, for acknowledging GREATNESS.!
ОтветитьMandolin.
ОтветитьThis is their best album in my opinion. Hands down brilliant!
ОтветитьWhite People Hung be for 2000 years before black, no way!!!!!!!!!!!
ОтветитьDon’t know how some people think this is LZ’s worst album, when it has, arguably, their best song in it: Since I’ve Been Loving You.
ОтветитьWithout Bonhams punching drum pattern and that rabbit foot bass pedal, this song would not be as gold as it is?
ОтветитьBanjo, mandolin, acoustic and electric guitar. Drums and bass guitar and Roberts vocals!!! Love to see people copy that as good!!!!
ОтветитьBanjo...yes
ОтветитьBluegrass mot country.
ОтветитьIf this is considered their worst album? Then everyone else should put their instruments away.
ОтветитьThis might be the hardest throwing down song they’ve ever done
ОтветитьPaige finishes out this record. The leads he plays on the fade out blows my living mind to smithereens.
ОтветитьAm i the only one who feels like the feel of it keeps switching on Gallows Pole? To my ear, Plant does some of his most brilliant singing here…the way he mixes it up and plays with the double entendre they are doing with time feel.
Its like if you take the made up word “badiga” or “gabadi”…and repeat it over and over it can alternate which word you hear depending on which word you focus on. The vocal and guitar leads play with this phenomenon.
Gallows Pole is an old Folk Song from Britain. So you guys were right.
ОтветитьYou could pay the hangman to let you go. But he had no money. So he offer his sister and got rejected.
ОтветитьTHIS IS A COVER! NOT AN ORIGNAL
ОтветитьGREAT SONGS ON EVERY ZEP ALBUM!!❤❤❤❤
ОтветитьGreat song👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼😎😎😎😎
ОтветитьBANJO!!!!
ОтветитьI love this album
ОтветитьBonzo, not Bonz
ОтветитьGallows Pole ranks within the top ten of my favorite LZ songs. LZ III might not be my favorite LZ album, however, there are times that it's the ONLY LZ album that I want to delve into. There's always something I hear that I never heard before. It's kind of crazy, but it's true. The bassline and the drums on Gallows Pole meld together in a VERY UNIQUE and SPECIAL WAY! It eventually turns into a 'musical boulder' that's tumbling down a Black Country mountain slope! Percussively beautiful!
ОтветитьJPJ MADE that funky AF!!! He is the Rex standing right beside Dimebag!!!
ОтветитьTheir best album
ОтветитьThere are more acoustic songs on Zep III.. godda love that. Plus!, Immigrant song is on here, which is Iconic.
Ответитьyeah only Plant vox on tangerine..they just overdubbed his harmony
ОтветитьTangerine quiet favorite
ОтветитьCODA is BY FAR their worst album. LED III BLOWS CODA out of the water!!!
ОтветитьTangerine is beautiful
ОтветитьOne of my favorite songs from this band
ОтветитьYou guys have an awesome sound system...been listening to LZ for decades, but I'm hearing details I've never heard before in almost every tune you spin. Super appreciative.
