Low carb diet folks!
ОтветитьWHEN ARE INSURANCE COMPANIUES GOING TO WAKE UP AND COVER THIS SERIOUS CONDITION????
ОтветитьWow. I now believe this is my problem 😮
ОтветитьMy daughter's has had the surgery for this, legs first, arms this past week! 😢 Thank God she is doing well!
ОтветитьIs surgery painful?
What is recovery period ?
Still not covered by medical?
This makes me want to cry. I’m stage 3 and there are no doctors that treat this within a few hours of me and I cannot afford to travel to St. Louis. It’s debilitating and very disheartening. I wish more doctors would do their research and that more were available throughout more areas especially mine.
ОтветитьLymphatic drainage helps
ОтветитьI am so glad that lipedema is getting more recognized, and yes, unfortunately the only cure is surgery. Yes, practitioners will work on getting your weight down first BEFORE getting the surgery to reduce the “lifestyle fat” (their terminology). I noticed that some insurances are beginning to cover surgery for lipedema, but you will still need to jump through hoops to get it.
More and more evidence is coming out that lipedema may be an autoimmune disease, because patients with lipedema also have a co-autoimmune disease.
Cryo can get rid of it. It can take about twice as many treatments but it works. Fasting helps too bit does not rid you of it.
ОтветитьNo drs in England seem interested despite my pain physically and emotionally
ОтветитьOoh my finally someone said the thing I suffer is a disease not my carelessness of eating to be obese. I wonder if this has come in Kenya.
ОтветитьThough the title says that the Dr explaims the cause of Lipodema, he really doesn't - but he does give a rough description of the characteristics of Lipodema.
The turning point in my understanding of this condition was when I learnt about the Lymphatic system in more detail (besr starting point by far).
My good lady is booked in for surgeries on her legs in April and July. She's had a lomg journey to reach this point, and self funding the surgery has taken a lot of work, but we're so hopeful that this will give a new lease on life 🙂
Does lipedema exist in areas where starvation is common or where seed oils aren't used?
ОтветитьNever explained the cause.
ОтветитьThe first person could easily be me. I was never diagnosed but I know I have it.
ОтветитьI noticed that my shoes wouldn't fit me after i had a miscarriage which lead to hormone imbalance and depression then it really started to show now i feel insecure to wear anything but long wide pants 😢. My mom has lipedema so its genetic . Im saving for the operation but im scared
ОтветитьThe host's voice is a little rough, hard to listen to.
ОтветитьTrampolining is a natural way to help lymphatic drainage.
ОтветитьI've had this since forever, it sucks. Never struggled with obesity issues. Thank god I'm mobile, but it hurts sometimes and when I was younger it really affected my self esteem.
ОтветитьI started researching my condition more than 10 years ago, printing out all the articles I could find and giving them to my then physician. He kept correcting me when I said lipid ama and referred to my problem as lymphedema. Now three providers later I still cannot get them to understand and have all but given up. 40+ years of carrying this excess baggage on my legs has destroyed my knees, my balance and my self-esteem. Its too late for me but to all the younger women out there.....be your own advocate. Educate your doctors and if they won't listen, find someone who will and keep on trying. No one should have to buy pants three sizes too big just to fit their legs and no one should lose out on a full life because of lack of understanding in the medical community.
Ответить😮 but I have no pain
Ответить?????
ОтветитьHe doesn't explain causes, just sells his book.
ОтветитьSo fat accumulating on the body. Where else would is accumulate exactly? In the skull? And if its inflamation why isnt it called lipitis? Isnt itis the word for inflamation? And what dis she do for it? She lost weight? How? With diet and excercise? Oh no fat surgery. Uh huh. And how is this different to being fat exactly? If this was to explain something it didnt really do that.
ОтветитьThe hostess gave the wrong definition of Lipademia, so annoying.
ОтветитьI had this for 30 years and never diagnosed!!!
ОтветитьL-ARGININE
ОтветитьYou can say again its different who puts on weight with a 40 day Waterfast? Lipedema patients
ОтветитьWondering why WENDY WILLIAMS DIDNT HAVE THIS SURGERY?
ОтветитьIs it only women that get this problem
Ответить*Lip-edema, please!
ОтветитьWhat type of doctor you see for this disease?
ОтветитьIm a man and I think I have this...minus the swelling and pain. Ive always been bottom heavy dont know if its this or genetics. All I know is I would kill to just have legs proportionate to the rest of my body😔.
ОтветитьWHY IS SHE YELLING
ОтветитьIf cellulite was terminal, I’d be dead.
ОтветитьI have this. Inherited? Maybe—but if you go back to my grandmothers’ generations and before, nobody had anything like this. Hope people continue to look for causes…
ОтветитьCompression helps so much from the time i wakeup 2 bedtime.
ОтветитьI have Lipedema, and I wish I could afford liposuction!
ОтветитьI've had it since I was a teen. My calves were always huge. I could never wear a boots, Not even wide cut. My thighs were/are super large, and the rest of my body was/is regular sized. As I aged, I got this funny composite of fat in one small area of my stomach. I went to the doctor, thinking it was something to worry about, and I was diagnosed with lipedema. I've lost about 130lbs. My legs are still the same, and so are places on my arms and stomach. It's as if I lose too much weight in some areas and none in others. The earlier its caught the easier it is to correct before it stretches the skin to far.
ОтветитьGreat interview! I'm finally getting a clearer understanding of the difference between lymphadema and lipodema. Thank you

ОтветитьI wish I had this doctor
ОтветитьThis is nonsense, they don't know the reasons for lipidema
ОтветитьI’ve had Lipedema type 4 (calves knees only) since puberty. I’ve always been a U.K. 8/10 US 4/6 all my life with fat knees and 15 inch calves, fat on shins and no ankles. I’ve had negative comments my whole life about my legs from strangers and never wear shorts, skirts, dresses unless long. It’s very tough psychologically and very painful, and I always have so many small bruises on my lower legs I look like a leopard!! Xx
ОтветитьYes
ОтветитьYears ago i was told it is fluid retention and prescribed hctz. On my own, I went to a vein specialist just yesterday, told it was lipedema.
ОтветитьAnd we've been told all this time that it was cellulite and we just needed to loose weight and move more!!!
ОтветитьMy doctor ordered ultrasounds on my arm and leg but the results came back as "normal." Does lipedema show up on ultrasounds? What should I do next?
ОтветитьWho can afford surgery? I hate this disease
ОтветитьI was always skinny but had "cankles" by 20 even though i was thin. Fast forward to today in my 50s, my legs ache and if i dont watch what i eat, the majority of it goes into my legs. My grandmother was almost 100 when she died and she had elephant legs with a normal upper body. I have found if i stick to an anti inflammatory diet and swim regularly, and workout, i can manage it. Pools are expensive!!!! (But swimming does wonders and feels so good on my legs)
We must move move move!!!
