My favorite way to run dragons breath is with a solar sniper rifle. Fire a 5x rocket swap to sniper, let the rocket launcher auto load then swap back to it. Because one thing not factored in on this is that once it gets to 5x it reloads itself

he didn’t use the cold comfort legendary rocket launcher from the water dungeon 😔

Just think if he actually let it reload for max stacks of damage at comp x5 with a fusion doing damage while it auto loads

The thing is this damage is purely the dragons breath raw dps.

Compared to for instance witherhoard + apex or izzy + apex

You need to do this aswell with dragons breath.

Get dragons breath auto reloaded after 2 ignitions. And in the meantime, shoot other weapons.

So i assume it is actually insanely high. As it is now already so close to the legendary rockets with rotating other weapons.

If deathbringer's projectiles all hit it's way above 1.5m but the problem is it's inconsistent and requires perfect placement. Still it's pretty good even despite that.

its way better to use apotheosis veil on warlok with dragons breath and any other decent special lol

shoot it switch dump shots repeat, especailly with the new strand sniper with recosntrution and deconstruct you do so much dps its dumb.

I know this is a late comment BUT Crux Termination IV with Reconstruction and Bipid. 4 rockets in the chamber and 10 in reserve with 2 arc reserve mods on.

You are using it incorrectly and with no catalyst. So this test is useless.

Why was Cold Comfort excluded? It deals 10% more damage baseline & a higher RPM then Apex Predator with the same magazine size(4x). You can also pair it with Izzy or Wither Horde.

For starfire protocol, you can pair it with the ignition = grenade recharge fragment, since dragon's breath causes ignition

just so everyone knows, you gain 2 stacks of composite propellant every time you cause an ignition, not by scorching targets.

Hear me out here. Drop Well to get radiant and use the new seasonal fusion with slice to sever along the seasonal mod that increases weapon damage to enemies effected by strand/stasis debuffs. Shoot rocket switch to fusion for sever and by the time you switch back to dragons breath it reloaded itself
Note: I’d imagine that using multiple DB could possibly make the ignitions cancel each other out. Just like having multiple Two Tailed Fox or two hunters both running Gathering Storm where the Jolts cancel each other out.

One thing is your using dragon breath wrong they have changed it since d1 it’s more like the witherhoard shoot it when it is at x5 switch to your other gun then switch back when it’s x5 again rise and repeat

theres a void aspect that allows you to have a free reload on your weapons, so the two tailed fox might've had a better dps, but idk

And fire in this rotation:

B&S

"its called dps not wait" why dont you just have a coherent selection of weapons then to provide DPS and use the gun how it should be used?

This gun was extremely op in d1 and it never left my exotic slot for a year till it was nerfed.

My guy build into igniting it accelerates the auto reload ridiculously fast

The AoE this thing puts out is insane. Not only in terms of damage but also in terms of radius around its target. It's like an inferno spreading around an epicenter, and it's shoot once and forget. So stop trying to test it vs single targets and only in limited time window phases. It needs its time.

Having said that, even when tested in a wrong manner it STILL manages to climb to the top of single target RLs (or almost there). That's seriously impressive and I only hope stupid Bungie doesn't nerf it as it usually does.

Dragons breath is perfect for solar lock and starfire protocol. If you put on the fragment where you get grenade energy through ignitions and use the rocket launcher THE RIGHT WAY you'll do some pretty nasty damage. Basically rocket-special- nade-repeat

Kind of funny how you put izanagi + apex (recon + bait and switch) + wolfpack rounds below apex with just recon + bipod and wolfpack rounds after you managed to miss several of your izanagi shots.

Your total for izanagi + apex (recon + bait and switch) + wolfpack rounds was 1,242,640 but it would have been 1,477,094 if you had actually hit those two izanagi shots in the boss's crit spot.

Taking into account the weaken debuff from Revitalizing Blast, Radiant, Argent Ordnance, and x4 Surge from Path of Burning Steps, the final damage multiplier comes out to approximately 1.98x. Applying this to the damage value for Dragon’s Breath at x3 Composite Propellant in this video, the total damage comes out to almost 2.8 million.

They said composite repellant would have a bar on the top left telling us when it wiill be full, but there's nothing to tell us any info about how much fuel it has when NOT firing at all.

The Bipod Reconstruction Apex will get 3 rockets with every reload if you don't boost the reload speed

Literally you are using it wrong, I’ve been using on my solar hunter with ophidians and gunpowder gamble you need to proc ignitions. I literally spam 3 rockets back to back at x5 while combing knives and gunpowder gamble.

It is not correct to calculate damage without hitting Izanagi's load on the head.
He doesn't know the significance of divinity or tractor cannons.
