I would use a sponge but tissue works

I know I'm late to the party, but I use dried out baby wipes in water, I'm mostly bedbound and can only have a small amount of water, to stop me throwing it over myself, and can only get it changed when carers come, so baby wipes are awesome, use biodegradable, use them fresh to take most of paint of, then used a small amount of water to get the rest off. Also trimming paintbrushes might work better with hairdressing scissors then nail scissors

A small sponge is much better as a paint grabber in water that won't get all goopy on you

For the procreate one make sure you use a black and white photo to make it look more ‘scetchy’

What if you put a piece of sponge or a rag into water…not paper.

If you want to straiten your brushes use soap (solid one) after cleaning to form them. When they get dry they will keep a shape.

making paints is easy
use pigments, binder/medium and that is it. For oils is different set as for acrylics as well as for polyurethane, resin and such.
Using glycerin and Arabic gum with pigment will make quite good pastels. I have a few soft pastels I made myself only with water and xantane gum (tragacant gum is another one). Of course in each paint can be filler. For soft pastels I use powdered chalk (some tips use scorch). With very good pigments you do not need to use so many, because even if only 1/3 of resulting paint is pigment, paint is almost same as paint from pure pigment (depends - lighter pigment is, less filler can be added).
(I tested liquid soap/glycerine as a binder, but resulting soft pastels were less softer - let say soapy)

I just always have a tissue sitting balled up near my water cup, and it's like habit for me to dab it on the tissue after rinsing. It's also super helpful to control the amount of water on my brush...

HACK FOR GETTING RID OF HICCUPS:

Just hold your breath for as long as you can hold it. Make sure that you don't accidentally breathe out or else it won't work. when you breathe out, make sure to take deep breaths, because sometimes it won't work if you don't. (and also you should breathe after holding your breath)

I completely agree with that picture shading “hack” i think it could be used very purposefully for good as an easy way to block out highlights and shadows of a reference separate to ur own drawing or for fun but i don’t think it should be used as a way for people to pretend art and commission it and if its used for commissions should be explicitly said its not hand drawn art.

for the one on digital where you use a picture and just basically scribble on it n stuff it has to be black and white otherwise itll still have color and not look like a sketch lol

I paint rocks and can definitely see the benefits of filling the pits with spackle. It may not be obvious with the base coat but the pits can be a pain to deal with when you’re trying to paint detail.

You need to follow the directions, theres a reason why in the tiktok they cut the brush after the condition when its wet, just like you cut human hair when its wet. You really make it difficult to get the hair to a nice shape if you cut it dry.

If you do use the tissue method, note that in the original hack vid, the tissue was pushed up against the side of the water cup and a certain amount was left above the water line. Even though it will absorb water, it won't fall apart as fast. Using a soft rag (that is washable) is a much better option, partly to save money but also because almost all tissues (from kleenex to toilet tissues) are usually bleached. It's conceivable that the chlorine in the water & the tissue could impact your colors.
Maybe that's fodder for another hack vid? ;)
