Having traveled Russia deeply since the 90s I can’t support the „danger“ narrative told here.
ОтветитьSorry sir, it happened to you in russia. Obviously Russia is not modern country with humanity in mjnd.
Ответитьwell you are there during this turmoil that happened in Ukraine and the uneasy terms between NATO and Russia. Not to mention you are from the UK which is NATO members, so they probably thought you were MI6 or something. They probably didn't want you to enter Chechnya because they do not want any foreigners to interviews any Chechen fighters who are active in the war in Ukraine.
ОтветитьThis video was awesome man!
ОтветитьI find it quite strange that you did not walk through Georgia as you could have followed various mountain passes through caucasus… 🫤
ОтветитьBack to England not welcome f..k off.

ОтветитьHere might be gog magog prison between those mountains
ОтветитьI would like to see the Ural mountains that actually separate Asia and Europe but i guess it's impossible right now. PS why are you surprised, Russia and Britain are now at enmity and therefore they will check you every time.
ОтветитьVery high-quality video. Great cinematography and there's also subtitle as well! This deserve more views tbh. Keep up the good work, man!
ОтветитьRichard, such an amazing video! Thanks for sharing
Ответитьthis vid is amazing, congrats
ОтветитьI tip my hat to you, Richard... a very sincere, modest and generous account of your trip (incl. of the people you met) - I found it quite moving. Like you, I have a serious case of wanderlust and whenever possible would have reveries about (and even sometimes plan and do!) madcap adventures (though admittedly not quite as epic as yours here - esp. when undertaken independently), but due to poor health/mobility over the last decade or so haven't been able to fulfil that part of me. I've never really been able to adapt to that (permanent) loss of freedom. Still, experiences such as yours, as well as your ability to capture them so thoughtfully and competently in this format, has lent a vicarious boost. Thank you for sharing your endeavours, and good luck for the rest of your life (travel-related or otherwise).
ОтветитьThank you for your video. Such an inspiring journey. I am very curious as to how much physical preparation you would recommend to tackle such an adventure?
ОтветитьSame thing with the USA. People almost never welcome a traveling or exploring stranger into their home or any other type of stranger for that matter. You'll get the cops called on you 100 times before someone lets you into their home and hasn't already known you for a while or something. Love the U.S.A. in many ways and wouldn't want to live in a socialist or communist country. However, i hate the obsession with people calling the cops here and being so estranged from neighbors, although i can scarcely blame people now with a monthly mass shooting
ОтветитьWe'd have a better world to live in if everyone traveled on foot and met others from vast cultures. I would know; I've met some beautiful people this way. People are mostly kind and caring humans.
Ответитьyo I need to do this, what a video bro!
ОтветитьWhat a video!
ОтветитьBest place on earth
ОтветитьRichard, well done..great video really enjoyed watching your journey to AZ.
I live here in Baku iam thinking to ride my motorcycle from UK to Baku via Turkey, Georgia and thru AZ
The Georgian Bay road border has been closed since Covid but we are told it's going to open again if so I can plan my journey, I to want to see Georgia and The Greater Caucuses I've seen from the air and that's breathtaking so I cannot imagine what a incredible journey this will be.
Happy Travels from Baku 🇬🇧😊👍👍👍👍
A gem of a watch - Awesome.
ОтветитьTears 😢 in my eyes.. for your courage, patience and endurance... salute and regards to all the kind hearted people you met on the way...
Life is unpredictable. Mankind needs to understand that humanity is not bounded to borders.. come on guys, live in peace, share love, smiles and enjoy peace till your last breath... remember, nothing stays for ever. Its memories left behind. You must not live in vain. Contribute to humanity. Borders can not and must not restrict our mutual kindness, love and respect for one another... May you stay at peace in good health always. Ameen...

You know how to pick em, it could have ended as the soldier said. What's next Somalia, Syria or North Korea? I loved your film ,real adventure when it's not mapped out , you don't speak the language and just get on with it. Full marks Richard.
