i'll be brutally honest here, even though it's a 6 years old video.

this is quite a bad video.
the AK & AKM both have receivers made of 1 piece, difference is that the AK has it milled out from a block of steel while the AKM has it made from stamped sheetmetal.
furthermore, not all AKM's have the bulges on the handguard!

biggest giveaway is (if the gun matches all around) the dustcover, AK's have it smooth while AKM's have it ribbed.
there's also the smaller things like the muzzlenut, gastube, pistolgrip, yadiyadiya but you get the gist of it.

not to mention the fact that there's 3 versions of AK, the original AK-47 (Type 1), AK type 2 and AK type 3.. all of which are slightly different but easily recognisable.

Sorry,but you know very little about diferences. Stick to ar15 platform..leave ak. You doesn't even know the parts of the rifle...

Man, ur a little off. The handguard doesnt count for shit- you can install whatever handguard you want. Also, the first AKs were stamped, not milled. You didn't even show the AK-47, so whatever guess i didnt want to learn anyways... and finally you didnt talk about the internals at all, so well done.

Just check the production year ak47 was made in 1947-50; above 50 means akm and akms was made in 1990's.
