ОтветитьMy favorite thing about this is that Marlie, that Chris Kattan part is so you!!!!
ОтветитьHi Marlie, It's Amy. I absolutely love your channel. This is a sure fire hit! Keep TWB in Seattle. Excited for your next review.
ОтветитьThanks guys for doing this! Being black in Seattle is definitely a challenge. We need to have a meet up or something and experience one of your tasks as a group.
ОтветитьI’m new to Seattle. These are great videos!
ОтветитьCan I interview you both? I am heavy into race equity work here on Bainbridge and would love to talk to you about your experience here and in the PNW. Great series of videos.
ОтветитьThat's cute did you feel comforatable on bainbridge with no Black people??
Ответитьand I thought Bainbridge was in alaska
ОтветитьYou guys are awesome, great content too. Peace fam from Thailand
ОтветитьI love this couple! You have something here!!!
ОтветитьMy black bf from New York did not feel comfortable on south beach BI - he’s like “people that live here don’t want to see folks like us” and... I’m not sure if that’s accurate but ... unsure how to handle it
ОтветитьAs someone who has also traveled while Black in Seattle, I disagree with your assessment that there aren't interesting things to do on and around Bainbridge. Recommend the Bainbridge Island Museum of Art. Also, the Japanese American Exclusion Memorial (much of the land on Bainbridge was stolen from Japanese Americans when they were forced into internment camps during WWII. If you go, take an origami crane.) I did not take the ferry when I went. Otherwise, it is a long drive, but the Squamish Native American tribe owns a lot of the land on the other side of the bridge, including a casino and their own museum. I felt like I didn't have enough time to spend on the island TBH.
ОтветитьI visited Bainbridge a month ago, visited museums, went for a short hike, ate bomb pizza. Everyone in the island was super nice! I loved it
ОтветитьNext time, check out Bainbridge Island... not just Winslow. Especially if you have a car! You missed all the great beaches, countless trails, small villages, big & little parks, a fort with big ol' bunkers, marinas with public docks, schmoozing with wildlife, fishing piers...
My son went to school with Chris-- they're both hilarious!
Went there first time about twenty years ago. My wife and I talked about buying a house there but didn’t. Those houses today skyrocketed in price.
ОтветитьNext time you come to Bainbridge Island here are a few suggestions of places to go. Bloedel Reserve is beautiful year around. There are 3 large tree covered parks. Fort Ward Park is a wonderful place to start a water side walk across the south end of the island. The Japanese American Exclusion Memorial is a bit of our history right next to the harbor with a large park attached with stunning view of Seattle.
