Im not native english but did you mean that you get less Research Points if you play with vehicles higher or lower in BR than the one you are researching?

What if i use a lets say mig 29 to research a su 9 or the prop planes before it

I tried to Research Sweden with the squadron t80 and after 600 games I spaded it and got 5.0 before I found this out

On a related note, to those who don't know about Talismans: they DO NOT change the "Research Efficiency" of a vehicle that they are applied to (i.e. it doesn't turn a regular vehicle into a premium) or give it a higher SL multiplier. Talismans only boost the RP multiplier of whatever they're applied to.

Saying this because I know that there's people out there who buy the top tier squadron vehicles with GE, buy a Talisman for them, and expect them to grind out entire trees like a top tier premium.

So wait i have to play at the rank of the vehicle that im researching so i wont get a penalty?

I understand the using low tier to research higher tier thing since you are advanceing the tree.

But i don't understand why i get a penalty for researching a low tier vehicle just because i wanna research a vehicle that im fallen behind from the branch. I already master the rank.

Does this also happen for squadron?

Do squad vehicles count as premium?

I don't know why people get upset at this, Gaijin is a business, they exist purely to make money. Of course content that is paid for is going to give you some kind of advantage. If you don't want to buy premiums, don't expect the benefits that come with them

That’s why a 5.7 8,000xp game will give me 3,000 xp to a 7.7 research tank.

For clarity, Premiums don't have the Low Rank penalty, they still have the +2 rank penalty every other vehicle has. As an example: A rank IV premium works on Rank I-V, not I - VIII
