It might sound weird, but I’d suggest trying a Gibson Les Paul Custom from between 2012 and 2018 with a Richlite fretboard. I couldn’t believe how good mine sounded, and the best part is that the fretboard doesn’t need any conditioning at all. Maybe my favorite guitar in my small collection. These models are custom shop as well with the certificate etc, but not reissues of older models.

I was happy to see this video in my feed today. I’ve been looking forward to your videos on the 68. Sweet guitar man! I love the 57 and 68 custom reissues, that aged binding makes them look so darned amazing! It uses a 59 neck profile? Fantastic, I like that profile. I’m looking forward to more videos featuring the 68. Congrats man, such an awesome guitar!

Would have liked to actually hear the guitar . . . clean tones on the 3 positions? I have a 1968 Custom and would be interested to hear how this re-issue compares . . .
