Couldn't take my eyes off the 1080ti chilling among more modern series.
ОтветитьI don't understand why these numbers are significantly lower than my own. I am getting over 130+ FPS at 1440p on Ultra without DLSS/FSR on an Ryzen 7 5800x, RTX 3080 12GB, 32GB RAM.
ОтветитьMy question is: Can it run with a A10-7870K and a GTX 970?
ОтветитьRunning FSR1 Ultra on GTX1080 in 4K like champ.
ОтветитьThanks for the vid, would love to see the CPU benches too.
ОтветитьAs you say, the game runs quite well for most of the game. But by the time you get to Act 3 in Baldur's Gate, framerate plummets when you look at the streets with lots of NPCs.
ОтветитьHappy you tested it!
ОтветитьSteve, will you just stop taking the piss.
You are pretending that a reference model 7800XT should be fairly compared to a Sapphire Nitro+ 6800XT and that you can make any kind of meaningful statement based on that.
Never mind the fact that my configured 7800XT (I also have a 7900XTX) substantially outperforms my also configured 6900XT.
If you can't compare like with like then you are effectively lying to your audience.
And yes, a reference model 7800XT has far worse performance even if you configure it to its maximum potential - which I know how to do.
Oh how I wish the dislike button meant something on youtbe.
ОтветитьCan you review the new Alienware R16!?
ОтветитьThe upscaling plague has already spread. BEWARE! BEWARE! The only way to combat such disease is to arm ourselves with the strongest hw available and hope for 60+. It is not a choice but a necessity!
ОтветитьI play on a 7 year old Laptop with 1050ti. It's all about the CPU. This is great for those like me that can't afford newer cards.
ОтветитьHell yeah, been waiting for this!
ОтветитьI have a RTX 3070 and a 5800x and in act 3 I have like 60 % gpu usage (playing in 4k dlss balanced - high - I know I need a new pc for 4 k lol)
ОтветитьHoping to still see Final Fantasy XIV in your new test bench - the Dawntrail benchmarks should be around the corner next year and it should have quite a bit difference performance than the current Endwalker version.
ОтветитьI don't get it... Wouldn't it have made a whole lot more sense to test different CPU's rather than different GPU's? Seeing how the game is so CPU heavy...
ОтветитьHow come no benchmarks for the 3090ti ?
ОтветитьI7 12700kf, 6950xt, 1440p widescree maxed , getting over 120 fps act 3.
ОтветитьI always select Vulcan on game launch, I've tried to run DX11 multiple times and the lag makes the game unplayable.
ОтветитьMy 6800 non XT feels left out T_T
ОтветитьThe game is so good. It should be played more thsn oncr with different paths and characters.
Vulkan or dx11? For me its seems to handle better on Dx11.
The game is perfectly playable at 30fps if that's all your system can manage. I run it on a 3700x/3090 and close to launch performance was really rough and all over the place in the late game. I ended up capping it to 30 just to keep it from fluctuating so much and it ended up not bothering me one bit. A rare case where you could actually make an argument for the "more cinematic experience"
ОтветитьWait a sec, so you are telling me that the reason I can’t get above 100fps with my 3070ti at 1440p is because of my cpu?(12600kf)
Ответить1080 ti gang!
ОтветитьI’ve played 200 hours of this. 120fps 4k maxed settings, i got 4090 and i9
ОтветитьI've just completed act 2 of Baldur's Gate 3 on my PC with an i3-4130 CPU, 2GB Quadro P620 and a 5400RPM SATA HDD. Settings are 1080p medium with a couple of tweaks to things such as anti-aliasing off. Upgrading from 8 to 16GB RAM (DDR3-1600) really smoothed things out lol. With 8GB RAM the HDD was constantly active swapping data. Looks like act 3 might slow things down a bit...
ОтветитьThe real problem is CPU in Act 3
ОтветитьMy boi, the rx580, still relevant to this day!!!
ОтветитьI think it‘s good, but act three is just a lot less fun than the previous two acts to a point where I do not want to finish it. So I do think it gets lauded too much by people who have not played act 3.
ОтветитьOn GPU busy metric: instead of showing 2 lines and have the viewer guess how they compare, it could be more useful to just display the ratio between them. The closer to 100% the better
ОтветитьThe good thing about BG3 is that you can turn on FSR, get huge performance boost and not lose a lot on the visuals.
ОтветитьI played this game on a 1660s super... on win 7
ОтветитьIs audio a little bit out of sync? Or maybe it's an issue from my end.
Peace.
The last hour of the game before the final fight absolutely destroyed my FPS. I ran 1440p ultra at 60-ish FPS, it went down to 20 fps just for that portion. Please use that last part of the game for the testing.
ОтветитьThis is a quote directly from the Larian website, so I don't really understand why most tech sites appear to be favoring DX11 which is an outdated older API that they likely included to compatibility reasons. "Vulkan presents a potential performance increase over DX11 in most cases, though may be slightly less stable for now. We generally recommend you use Vulkan, the default Graphics API." Might even be interesting to do a GPU Busy comparison of the 2 API's
ОтветитьDamn this video looked so crisp.
ОтветитьGlad you guys have been good at choosing games to benchmark this year. 👍
ОтветитьThis game made me upgrade my GTX 1060 3GB to a RX 7600. I see the 1060 6GB do okay on the charts here, I wonder if the extra VRAM makes the difference. I got into act 2 (even with FSR enable on Quality, most settings on medium, stuff like fog on low) I was getting severe dips into the 10-20 FPS range. My GPU was obviously the weak link compared to my CPU (3600). Now I can play on High settings without FSR at 50 FPS (locked) and only occasionally I dip below 50. Very nice to have characters’ hair not look like a pixelated mess.
I haven’t reached the lower city yet though. I’ve heard from other 3600 owners that it doesn’t fare super well there. Dreading it a little bit.
This is long but I really enjoy the game and this GPU comparison is very helpful 😊
Me on my 1080ti😮
ОтветитьI have ryzen 5 3600 and 4070ti. Game runs much much better on Vulkan (for some reason). With occasional dropouts though.
ОтветитьMisread the title as GPU Bussy. I'm sorely disappointed.
Ответить4060 still losing out to 3060. What an abysmal GPU generation this is. And no Titan cards since RTX 2000 series. Overpriced Nvidia garbage. Screw them all.
ОтветитьI locked 60 fps even with 4090 simply to draw less power for no reason in this game
ОтветитьThe way I can usually tell I've run out of VRAM and it is hurting performance greatly is by seeing an increase in BUS usage(reported by RTSS at least on nvidia).
There are plenty of times my VRAM allocation is near to 100% but doesn't seem to be hurting performance significantly and some few times performance is awful and bus usage is up a lot, tens of percent more than usual(less frequently or never since I upgraded from 980 to 1080ti with almost 3x memory).
In most cases the problem would go away by lowering textures, suggesting that it would be due to not having enough VRAM and running into fetching data from system memory thus increasing BUS usage(pcie) and lowering performance significantly.
one of the benefits of very efficient game coding and using really great coding for the drivers. great game all around
Ответить3080ti?
ОтветитьYou all should do a test piece using the DLSS 3.0 Frame generation mod. I'm getting easily 300 fps using my 4090 in act 1 using DLAA (not all ultra settings though).
ОтветитьThis game looks great and runs smooth at 1080p on the Asus Ally. VRR is a must and BG3 is very scalable
Ответить
