Fantastic ❤❤❤
ОтветитьI thought I would listen to Helena for 1 hour. but just listened for 2 minutes
ОтветитьI wish this was more intercultural. There are very good poets around the world or from different cultures.
ОтветитьTalk to everyone while talking to no one. Scream into the silence, begging to be heard, whilst dreading being answered.
ОтветитьThis is lovely. ❤
ОтветитьLove love love this
ОтветитьAs a Russian, it’s a more harmonious impression when they talk than when they read poetry
ОтветитьWas never into reading poetry but every few years will write a poem. People seek attention, power, or revenge. I seek none of these and write for empowerment, so nothing I write would be of any interest to anyone lol, which doesn’t surprise me at all—the lack of empowerment on the planet that is. Lol
Ответить👀🎵E❌!
ОтветитьI cannot love this enough. Beautiful poetry and why poetry connects us on a universal level. All the reasons I love to write and read poetry.
ОтветитьNoice, Love, Love, Lalalallalalla ...yeaaah,.....L U R VE!
ОтветитьI have been a Poet in isolation all of my life; how I now wish I had engaged with others of that ilk. So much can be shared and absorbed through a forum such as this one. My sincere thanks to all concerned and to 'Intelligence squared'
ОтветитьMade me cry. Really beautiful, all this.
ОтветитьI love the rhythmic beat of the Ancient Greek marching beat of thousands of men strengthening themselves with the common words and beat.
ОтветитьPoetry cures noise. Poetry give order out of chaos. The beauty of speech gives life breath.
ОтветитьAs a man not entirely sure where I fall on the feminist scale, the poem that really stood out for me here was Helena Bonham-Carter's reading of Phenomenal Woman; furthermore I was equally as astonished as the other panellists by her ability (for want of a better word) to just pluck that specific and hugely relevant poem from the top of her head.
ОтветитьCongratulations fantastic programme
Ответить999
Ответитьwonderful ...brilliant ....Jeanette Winterson is love💌💌💌
ОтветитьNo man is an I land? Really?
ОтветитьAn elephant's nose hangs down to his toes, I'm glad I don't have one of those! -My feet smell!
Ответить48th-ish minute. Me coming from a Tom Hiddleston video cause I saw Helena Bonham Carter in the thumbnail. I click into the middle of the video. She speaks a sentence and it hits me, that this iis the exact same poem that truck me, when Tom Hiddleston read it in another video a day or two ago. The Very Same Poem is haunting me. And it's reminding me AGAIN what I keep getting reminded of frequently in card readings. To feast on life and bring joy back in.
Here I am, trying, while at the bottom of things.
Moreso than ever. When even getting this far has cost me tremendous effort.
Awesome , and gigantic wow , poetry as pharmaceuticals
ОтветитьWould read a mile of lines of Ms Carter's poetry to get to her mind.
ОтветитьI'm 35 and have been reading consistently my whole adult life. I always thought poetry just wasn't for me. Then I found Keats and the poem ( When I have fears ) and it suddenly clicked. I realised what poetry can do. After I read Keats I found Shelley, William Blake and many more.... People who don't like poetry or think it is silly and a waste of time, I believe they just haven't found there Poet yet or The Poem that can open there mind.
ОтветитьVery enjoyable and insightful for me and my understanding towards poetry, thanks
ОтветитьFantastic round!
ОтветитьAs a gay muslim myself, that story about the security guard resonated deeply with me; to say nothing of the actual poem. Thank you so much for including it
ОтветитьEdgar Allan Guest...Myself etc.
ОтветитьThank you.
I love retirement, because I can learn about everyone and everything I wish, since employment, marriage, motherhood are all done. Thank you God for these 79 years so far, and moving to beautiful, safe, and super clean Queretaro, Mexico, where so far not any grocery shortages or limits. I moved here on 11-2-2021, and I can still get groceries etc. delivered to my door. All utilities and maid service are included in my rent. I only buy food and help the non beggars help themselves.
USA got too deadly and expensive for a senior on a pension. I will never beg the government to care for me, for I know they want to eliminate everyone, not to pay pensions etc.
God sits high, and he looks low, and the evil and greedy will reap what they have sown. Karma never loses an address, so BEHAVE, and OBEY GOD'S LAWS!
Put a d before anger, and you get danger. Do not argue, or call anyone out of their name. DO NOT SCAM AND BEG> WORK. Be a giver and not a taker. YOU will be supper happy.
Please bring these back. Cover letters. Or sth.
ОтветитьThis was one of the best videos from intelligence squared I've seen. On the other hand, I'm not a fan of Tom Burke. He is boring and slow speaking.
ОтветитьWomen with foot on chair says look at me , look at me endlessly me , she says this to herself in her mirror , with foot on chair for all to see her !
ОтветитьHelena BC is still smoking hot in 2021🔥
ОтветитьI certainly hope rhyming doesn't define poetry as Korean poetry doesn't rhyme.
ОтветитьThe very idea of failure is a bizarre idea. I never liked it.
ОтветитьThank you so much for posting this. I learnt and experienced beautiful things that had you not uploaded this, it would not have been accessible for me. Thank you, thank you, thank you
ОтветитьThe stupidity of the YT ad interruptions is unmatched. I wonder if The Pirate Bay should not go on this market. After all, this is a file sharing service.
ОтветитьOLl
Ответитьthe title of the video should be changed as there are way more amazing characters in the panel than just Helena and Jason lol ... lovely reading<3
ОтветитьJason is wearing black whenever I see him! A true death eater.
Ответитьi come back to this video every now and again and i enjoy it even more every time
