I have tightened the screws attaching the hub to the tub but the drum still has some movement to it but I am unable to tighten the screws anymore? Does this mean the hub isn't flush to it?
ОтветитьCan a bad hub result in the wash machine shaking violently? I am thinking this can be fixed by spring replacement but now I am thinking this is the fix by replacing the hub.
ОтветитьHi Ben I have a Whirlpool WTW7500GC2 washer that won’t stop walking on every load. We tried rearranging the cloths and nothing helps. Would this repair fix the problem or is the suspension rods?
Thanks for any help.
Would this cause water leakage if the part was bad?
ОтветитьI ordered and replaced the parts he is selling and it still danced across the floor. I then replaced the suspension rods and it is working fine now.
ОтветитьHaving an argument need your help. I am trying to replace my plastic hub for a metal one. I have gotten to the hub but it will not budge, at all. When removing the "U" piece one point broke leaving about 3.5 centimeters. I believe this is the problem my house mate thinks he got enough of it out. But we can't remove the hub not one bit. What would you advise to go forward, besides getting a new housemate. Thank you for your consideration. And do you have a video on refrigerator icemakers he broke that too.
ОтветитьWhat if it's one with the agitator?
ОтветитьThank you so much for this video! I just ordered the hub kit!
My machine washes and spins but nothing is getting cleaned and the tub has so much movement to it. I am hoping this is the issue!
My kids love to overload the machine with their clothes and blankets and I have a feeling the hub is smoked from the amount of laundry being shoved into the machine.
Wish me luck lol!
Can someone tell me where I can find these same parts for a Samsung top load washer machine
ОтветитьDo I need to wait 24 hours for the thread lock to fully set before doing the reset and or washing anything?
Ответитьwhat about a washer with all the lights and push button but has the agitator in the middle. We have one with agitator in middle? It just bangs so much and does not get all water out of our clothes.
ОтветитьMy kit came with 2 little black zip straps. But no instructions. What are the zip straps for?
ОтветитьFirst piece won't go down on shaft, clean and part from description? Like it doesn't fit?
ОтветитьWhat if my plate is loose? How do I fix that?!
ОтветитьWhat about Roper washing machine that has the agitator inside?
ОтветитьNot sure if you answer questions , I did replace the hub with the metal one , the old plastic one the splines were shredded and worn out, . Replaced with metal one , and same thing happened after awhile maybe a span of 6 months or more…Why is it that they are getting worn out so fast?
ОтветитьIs there going to be a restock of this item soon? I've been checking for a couple days now. Per this video, this is exactly what I need!!! Excited to be able to order.
ОтветитьI have a Maytag model MVWC565FW2.
Will this hub assembly work for this model?
thankyou very much, i used you tip and it work well.... my girl cant thank me enough!!! super thankx on its way
ОтветитьThanks!
ОтветитьPlease help asap. I cannot get the u pin out of the hub
ОтветитьThanks, Ben. The reset sequence was perfect.
ОтветитьCan't get that first nut off under the cap. Have tried everything, Ideas?????
ОтветитьThis did fix the problem with the agitator. Worked great for about 3 months, then the transmission on the washer burned up. I'm told the gear was designed plastic so it would break, saving the transmission. If anyone reads this, please just replace the part with another plastic one, and not the metal one. I had to buy a new washer because of it.
ОтветитьI know this is an old veido, but going to tack a chance
will this work on a Amana washing machine?
So i bought Ben's repair kit. Excited to get it. This was the 2nd POS washer I had this problem with. Ben's worked for a short time. Was not going to let this washer defeat me. Took it all apart. Cleaned shaft with CLR and wire brush. Basket was reamed out around shaft. Used Ben's kit with JB liquid steel. Worked it down around shaft. Completely covered all parts and resembled. Works great. Used Ben's with liquid steel. Let dry 2 days. Have used for 3 months. No wobble at all.
ОтветитьHi I hv a whirlpool 17 kg not agitating properly any help or advice
Ответитьthe U pin is stuck, got that out. put the metal hub on, its tighten down. but the washer drum isnt stable like yours.
ОтветитьBen, this video and the other corresponding whirlpool washing machine videos helped me DIY and fix my 3 year old washer!
I ordered all the parts from your site they came super quick. The installation videos are clear and concise great job!
Thank you again
Will that part work from my Maytag washer also? does anyone know?
ОтветитьI replaced my hub bearing with a metal one like you have here. However, the tub still wiggles more than it should. I tested the washer and it worked fine until the spin cycle. It was spinning and bumping into the sides of the washer. I've replaced the suspension rods as well. How do i know if the tub is lifted up when installing this bearing. I'm thinking maybe the tub isn't lift up all the way.
Ответитьhad no thread lock, it loosened up. had to reassemble w it, we'll see now.
ОтветитьI did the exact process. However, my tub still has lots of play. Can you point me in the right direction?
ОтветитьWhen will you have more in stock?
ОтветитьDo you have another fix? I installed your kit. Worked for a little while. Then the metal hub just got loose on the shaft. Put on a plastic hub, and it got loose after a few months. Just put another plastic hub..... I could never get the metal hub tight enough. And any wiggling, just wears out the splines.
ОтветитьI'd like to add some feedback after successfully repairing my washer's barely-spinning-cycle, which then turned into the walking-across-the-floor-shaking cycle. This metal hub upgrade looks like a pretty good repair, but only for certain specific problems. If you look at Ben's website where he sells all of these repair parts, you'll see a slew of negative comments on this particular part, and the pictures in every review all show it breaking the same way, every time. You'll also see an overwhelming majority of comments are positive and indicate a good fix. The problem is, in many cases, the splined hub isn't the entire problem. Replacing it - whether plastic or this cast zinc alloy - will mask the root problem for some time but if the root isn't fixed, every replacement hub will break. The washing machine tub has a plastic bushing hub at the bottom. This is what slips over the transmission shaft and physically locates the drum centered inside the outer basket. The plastic bushing wears over time into an elliptical shape, allowing the drum to rotate in an out-of-round pattern, which almost instantly translates into violent shaking and thumping. Ben sells the fix on his site - a replacement drum hub bushing. It's less than $30 shipped and involves a little disassembly, but is easy to replace. This will fix the root cause of the no-spin or violent shaking problems. If the splined hub is also worn out, it should be replaced; but in my opinion, the plastic version is sufficient if the lower bushing has been replaced. I think this metal version is overkill but it couldn't hurt at all. Just my $.02. It's been a couple weeks since I did my bushing and used his grease on my Amazon rods, with immediate good results.
Ответитьwhat do I replace when the wash plate spins? just the wash plate?
ОтветитьYour channel is great. I replaced the hub with a plastic one from Amazon. It worked fine for about five months and then the machine started knocking and walking during spin again. I took off the hub and the splines were worn down and the U-clip was thrown out of the slots. Is there something that could cause the hub to wear down so quickly other than the possibility that it is just junk plastic? I ordered the metal hub, as well as a new basket tub bushing (figured I'd replace it while in there), but I just wanted to see if there was something I could be missing.
ОтветитьAfter-my-daughter-put-a-heavy-rug-in-the-wash, My-agitator-will-spin-for-a-second-then-stop. The-Tub-doesn't-spin-at-all! Could-a-faulty-hub-also-e-my-issue?
ОтветитьMr. Ben, thank you so much for this very informative video! I purchased the parts from your site and just replaced the hub. I ran the washer through a spin cycle, after doing the reset and recalibrate you showed, and even though there was nothing in the machine during the cycle, it ran perfectly! It wasn't doing this before. Thanks again!
ОтветитьI did everything you showed and there is still play in the drum. Any ideas?
ОтветитьSo my Whirlpool only wobbles and walks during the spin when it’s it rinse cycle…..it DOES NOT wobble during the final spin. Why? Can you help?
ОтветитьIs the inner shaft that the wash plate bolts to supposed to come out with the wash plate? Because mine did... they were rusted together.
Ответитьdo we have similar solution for samsung washers? I have replaced suspension rods 3 times but still having the same issue.
ОтветитьHow bout Samsung you got that part
ОтветитьI had the damnest time getting the washplate off, so I simply went back to using the machine (thinking "If I'm going to get a new machine, I might as well run this one into the ground.") About seven loads later, with the bolt out, the plate became loose on its own. Something to try if you've done "everything" to get the washplate to come loose.
ОтветитьWhat if it has a normal agitator and not a pulsator?
ОтветитьWhen will this product be back in stock? 😢
