sandblasting is the best rust remover but not everyone has one of those

I'm really impressed with the variety. I was surprised naval jelly was not among the methods tested though. One thing I would be interested in is how well each method removed the rust from the intersteces and touching surfaces of the spring, where I would think some methods might not be able to reach. Also some note as to how badly pitted the metal surfaces were after rust removal after each treatment.

Phosphoric Acid is the main ingredient in many rust stoppers followed by a supporting paint coating. KBS Rust kit is what I use and LOVE!

The Muriatic will cause it to re-rust pretty badly real quick.

Great video - I like the ASMR in place of music or commentary. If you repeat the test for any reason I suggest stretching the springs before and after to reveal any rust withing the coils.

All of these products only remove surface rust temporarily. They do absolutely nothing to stop it from occuring again. Once the oxidization process has started, it gets deep down to the actual molecular structure of the steel, and it is very difficult to stop.
Sandblasting is by far the best method as it removes more of the damaged metal, but the item must be sealed immediately.
As for the other other liquid remedies presented; the product needs to be rinsed after with water to cease any unintended chemical reactions in process; which in itself will promote immediate surface rust on the molecular level.
In a nutshell, while the OP has taken time to produce this video, it is nothing but pure entertainment.

You forgot the results of the Muriatic Acid
